shread some groomers, hike main chute, get in shape for when it does snow

I guess I should explain: in three weeks, I'll be at Alta. That is, literally and without exception, the only non-Vermont skiing I will get to do all year.

I'd like a base and some pow when I arrive. Nay, I NEED a base and some pow.

Else my soul shall shrivel and die. It's nice to be able to be patient when you live there and have the whole season. My whole life is those two weeks.

3 weeks you will be fine. even though the base is 20 inches, its a solid 20. that means there is 20 inches on most of the rocks (north facing). but when it does snow the snowpack might collapse so we have that to look forward to.

look at main chute its already filled in quite nicely. and open. see you in a few weeks

That picture looks a lot nicer than everything else is making it seem... that makes me happy.

I've been there for the two weeks right after Christmas for the past 6 years and every year (except one) the snow has been epic and delicious.

Thanks for easing my fears a little though... I can't help but get anxious about this shit. Like I said, those two weeks make my entire year.
