drink stuff thats cold because that gives a greater shock to your body than something that is moderately warm, like coffee. jack it every once in a while since that will get your testorone and adrenaline flowing, which will help to wake you up. walk around occassionally or listen to some music using headphones.
drink huge amounts of water with your energy drinks/coffee to make sure you dont get dehydrated. Dehydration will def make it more difficult to learn anything, also a little bit of pressure in your bladder really helps you stay awake and the constant trips to the bathroom will keep you moving.
take a ten-20 minute nap if youre eyes start involuntarily shutting. If you are nervous enough about getting all your shit done it wont be hard to wake up and you will feel surprisingly rejuvenated. set an alarm
If it is only one night you should be fine. Get some coffee, maybe a stash of energy drinks, and you'll be fine. No need to use aderal or any other drastic measures. Make sure to take a nap before your test (even if it's like an hour) just to give your mind a rest.
Lots of ambient light (not like one desk lamp in a dark room). Keep the energy up. Walk around periodically. Eat food, drink fluids. Keep music and shit going. Don't worry about time. Depending on the nature of the all-nighter, it is quite amazing what a two hour nap can do for productivity (but there needs to be daylight for that to work in my experience).
explain to me how does sitting in a half lit room help you stay up all night?
Im in one right now but just because i missed the mark so i am able to wake up for class tomorrow, smoke some cigs the nicotine will help you stay awake. seems like adderal isn't available so use some red bull if you have enough of it so you can keep it going. drink alot of water, and eat small not heavy meals that have alot if protein if possible, keep moving if you feel your eyes shut and take some breaks let your brain rest go outside go for a drive play some xbox listen to some music that gets you pumped. youll be alright, and like someone else said its all mental, these things just help me
you never get anything done between 12 and 3:30 anyways, sleep for 3 hours with the alarm across the room so that the snooze button is not an option. those 3 hours make you feel like so much more of a champ. Also, cigarettes.
that is so true. picture all of that focus going into something totally off topic and then you get all pissed off and you're done. but you won't be able to go to sleep at that point or do work. totally fucked!
Staying up all night isn't a problem. Its around say noon or 2 pm the next day when you are like WOAH. I feel weird and you begin to get retarded unless you are doing ritalin, adderall, coke, or meth.
Don't waste your money on energy drinks. They don't do shit, and if they do.......well caffeine might just do a lot for you.
Also if you feel convinced that caffeine is the way to go, just go buy caffeine pills. They allow you to dose your usage of caffeine intake a lot better than a mountain dew or red bull will.
In my opinion I have much better success if I just "go to bed" for 2 or 3 hours then wake back up and start an early study session at say 3 in the morning until class. Those 2 or 3 hours of sleep allow me to go through the day...albeit dragging ass. Without poppin ritalin like candy.
adderol will totally do the trick... but it's a win/lose situation. like the previous posts have said... if you get distracted you are FUCKED. also, my brain is crazy when i'm on addy and i think of so many different things at once. for instance, if i'm writing a paper i will think of so many different ideas and points to make and then i try to make all of them and i feel like i'm doing a super good job and then the next day when i read it i'm just like uhh... what?
so i know this won't help now, but for future reference. just get your shit done early. maybe go workout though, i can't sleep after working out at a gym
