Has anyone ever wondered that what you feel while skiing and then actually watching the footage later differs. When i land a new trick or do something that feels BIG it feels soo good for that moment. But when i watch it later the stoke is still there it just doesnt look good. and it feels like that huge trick you did was actually tiny. haha maybe im just crazy but its hard to look good sking. It almost feels like you have over-do it all the time to look solid.

I think it's just the initial mentallity. When you do something new there's a "wow/sweet" factor, but when you go over and watch it, you're sort of missing that since you already had accomplished it.

it can go both ways though,
more often than doing that ill underestimate my ability...
plenty of times ive done something that i thought wasnt that good but looked better on tape than it felt.

ya all my jump tricks are like that, feel good look brutal on film. Rail feels the same as it looks for me.

everything feels great first time you land it. jsut keep doing it so it looks awesome, but doesnt feel awesome doing it. thats how you stomp shit.

Yeah it works both ways. I was learning to blunt 5 and I stomped one that when I watched it it looked like ass, but then I was just doing them a few weeks later and I didn't know I was getting filmed and there was one on there that looks dope but I can't even remember which hit it was cuz it didn't feel that good

ive never had that problem. i have really good spatial awareness though, so i can feel it every time my trick looks like ass. just gotta imagine how your body moved and be aware, then imagine it from a different angle.

this is probably because you are so used to watching pros absolutely slay they park. then you go out and realize how far you are away from them skill wise. go watch an old edit of yourself, or multiple old ones. then go watch your newest one. then you will realize how much progression is actually going on.

just keep practicing the same trick.

I find that the stuff that I do just for fun or messing around looks the best/ gets the most attention than the stuff that I consider more technical.

when i feel like i went really huge on a new trick, ill watch the footage later on and realize that it wasn't as big as i thought it was.  quite dissapointing really.
