I'm 170 lbs (din 9,10) - Griffon or Jester for my Anthems ?

Hey,

Just bought a pair of last years Anthems and I'm wondering which binding to buy: Griffs or Jesters ?

Last year I rode Ross Scratch '06 with Scratch 140 bindings at din 9. I was 160 lbs last year.

Right now I weigh 170 lbs (6'2) and probably have to up my din to 9,5 / 10 because I really want to focus on buttering this season (thats why I got the anthems in the first place).

I'm still an amateur skier tough - I stick to smaller jumps etc.

What do you think ?

You could get away with either, the Jesters would be more durable because of the metal pieces so I'd go with those.

if you got the money go with the jesters because they will pay off in the long run

I weigh abit more than you and I got griffons on my anthems, just because I didn\t have enough money for the jesters, if money isnt a problem, go for jesters.

go to   http://www.dinsetting.com/  play around with gaining 20 lbs and growing ur feet another 2 sizes and see if u can benefit with going to the Jester din 16 binding in 1 or 2 years....

else Griffons Din 12 is pretty strong. Jester is a heavier duty binding.

youll be fine with both. id go with the jesters just cause it has a little more metal. also if you go up a number or two in the din, you'll be pushing the limit of the spring. id go with jesters

im 180 lbs and 6'3'', and have had excellent luck with griffons. i had some z12s a couple years ago which broke in every possibly way and were always prereleasing at 10 din. the griffons have held up great and have much better retention, i've yet to prerelease from them. just proformed another pair this afternoon to put on a pair of walls.

wow, thanks for the great feedback.

I'll get the Jesters because they're stronger and probably have a good resell value with the anthems.

i'm bumping this thread cause i've a question about Griffon/Jester, but it's not worth a new thread:

do they have the same holes pattern? aka can i put Jester on a skis which previously mounted Griffon without drilling?
