Just got suspended..

someone threw an emply bud light case in the bed of my truck so they searched my whole truck and found a multi purpose tool and 3 black cats so they suspended me for 10 days for having a concealed wepon and explosives!! fucking bull shit what could i do with a tool and 3 black cats that i couldnt do with my hands or a pencil??

in all seriousness, appeal the suspension. i mean you have to be able to explain the black cats (maybe the fact that it was in your car shows you had no intention of using it or something?) and it will be easy to explain what a multi-purpose tool is for... i mean that's just retarded.

To end the argument about WHETHER OR NOT THE SCHOOL CAN SEARCH YOUR PROPERTY:

NO THEY CAN NOT SEARCH YOUR PROPERTY FOR SIMPLY BEING ON SCHOOL GROUNDS, UNLESS YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHTS WHEN YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT (IF THAT CONTRACT EXISTS) FOR THE PARKING SPACE.

Tinker v. Des Moines was a Supreme Court case in which the Court ruled that "students do not leave their rights at the schoolhouse door."

Goss v.Lopez was a Supreme Court case in which the Court ruled STUDENTS ARE ENTITLED TO DUE PROCESS RIGHTS. Thus, you retain your protection from unlawful search and seizure.

doesn't just about every car in the fucking united states have a multi-tool in it somewhere?
my truck came with a tire/roadside/other shit repair kit that has a multi tool in it (shitty imitation leatherman), along with other potential deadly weapons (tire iron, band-aids) would i have to take that out to park on school property?
the black-cats are kinda understandable, but maybe only worth a confiscation of them or something, not a 10 day suspension.

are schools gonna start suspending kids for carrying pens and pencils? those things are fucking sharp man. i feel like you could fuck someone up more with a sharpened pencil than a black cat anyday
i would personally say try to appeal the suspension, because that's a whole lot of bullshit.

or don't, and go skiing.

just to add to Goss v. Lopez, in the majority opinion it says,

"once the state provides an education for all of its citizens, it cannot deprive them of it without ensuring due process protections."

if your school has one of the resource officers you should go in to the office and report him for carrying a gun in school.
cause guns are dangerous.
and if you see a teacher with a paper cutter or letter opener or anything, go to the office and flip a shit, demand that disciplinary action be taken.

just make it super ridiculous until they realize that they are fucking stupid, and issue you an apology or free blowjob or something.

just contest the terms of your suspension. They violated your due process guarantee, which the supreme court has shown, is a guaranteed protection of yours regardless of your position in the academic system.

Eitherway, school districts especially have always had a history of blatant noncompliance with the Supreme Court. All the way back from Engel v Vitale and Brown v Board. Even today, after countless cases, schools commonly punish kids for not saying the pledge of allegiance, having school prayers, etc.

School districts rarely consider the threat of suit because all of their constituents happen to be 18 and under. Explain to your parents the law and sue the living shit out of your school district.

You have the law on your side.
