hahaha,i remember watching some Bungie Panel and they were using a mac, they said right there that macs were better than PC's for game production and they have always used a mac. If you don't know what bungie is, well it's a game studio that does the halo series, which is owned my microsoft, the whole studio is basically owned by microsoft.

nope, not a mystery that they have used keynote for presentations and not powerpoint. It isn't really THAT big a deal. I mean they are a software company. As long as the mac is dual-booting with Windows on there it isn't that outrageous.
oh I see what your saying. Yeah that has been somewhat controversial. Sucks for people who want to swap batteries say on long flights. But to be honest, the amount of extra battery life they get out of the batteries by having them non-removable is a more attractive feature for most people then having a removable battery. My friends 17 inch macbook pro gets 7-8 hours of battery life. It is incredible.

Yeah, but the whole thing is that the only reason they are able to get such good battery life (7 hours+) is because the battery isn't removable. All the mechanics that are in place that allow the battery to be easily removable take up space that can't be used for storing power. It basically comes done to the battery being removable or having longer capacity. It is a tough decision, but I bet most consumers would take the longer capacity, plus it looks good in advertising.
As far as sending the computer in, that is definitely a big disadvantage. Luckily the battery changing isn't that complicated, so it can be done at an apple store, but for those of us not near an apple store your right, you have to send it in. I bet a lot of apple customers though upgrade their laptops well before they have battery failures. My battery is just about to fail on my macbook (I have over 700 cycles on it) and I must say it is nice that I can just order a battery and do it myself (even though I am getting jacked for 150+ for a battery).
I may agree with you, but I think most consumers would disagree with us. That "12 hour battery life" is just to sexy on the sales tag. I doubt most consumers even realize the Macbook batteries aren't removable. But I bet they do realize how great their laptop's battery life is.
