Hey guys
Hunter here.
Last night i was at a tramp place, and over-rotated a dub into a pit, and my legs buckled over my head, and i cracked my back.
i cant walk, i cant move all that well, and slept for a total of 2 hours this past night.
scared as hell.
ski season approaching...
getting into the doc today.
we will see!

yeah, i dove into a swimming pool at night (totally dark) and hit a big raft and felt every vertabrae from my neck to lower back pop. couldnt walk or even stand up and i was really worried but i turned out to be fine, just took about two weeks to stop hurting

this happened to a friend of mine a couple years ago.  She really hurt her back while we were jausting with giant yoga balls and she could barely move at first but she was fine after two weeks.  You'll pull through.  YOU CAN DO IT!!!

+++vibes. it sounds like the compression fracture i had. which cut off the last month of skiing but it wasnt too bad. you get lots of painkillers and school elevator passes.

dang dude, that sucks ass. just listen to what your doc says so you arent messed for life and wait it out. if you end having to miss this years season, there is always another year. better than going out too early and re-injuring. at least it wasn't your neck breaking on it. ++++ vibes

Well first off,
I cant thank all of you enough, for the help.
the stats of it all.
my L3 Vert. suffered a compression fracture, so, in laments terms, i broke my back.
im in a brace, 4-6 weeks of recoverey.

exactly what i did. you'll pull through fine, and probably in time for skiing. plus they'll probably give you waay more painkillers than you need

ur lucky it was an L3 break man, glad ur alright.

im studying back breaks in pathophysiology...and if even so much of a fragment of a broken vertebra puts the slightest amount of pressure on ur spinal cord your fucked.

however if i were you i wouldnt worry about that, because the radiologist would have said something to your doctor by now.

You'll be alright man. It just takes awhile. This is coming from a kid who broke his back in 3 places from overshooting a jump. The key is PATIENCE. Do not try to go back too early. Back injuries are nothing to be fucked with. Do the rehab religiously, listen to the doctor, and you'll be fine.

4-6 weeks isn't too bad.  You'll be skiing hopefully by the end of November which is when the last of the mountains open up so you shouldn't miss too much. +vibes to you and have a speedy recovery.
