What to do in Toronto?

Hey guys, I need from you guys from toronto.  I'm leaving there for 2 days and I need some places to go.  So what are places to visit?  Places, Malls, stuff to do there?   And if someone knows a big bike shop there it would be great if you could tell me the name.

First time there? Do the tourist stuff.

Admittedly, it's not my favorite Canadian city, but I spent three days there a couple years ago. I took the bus/subway from the airport to downtown, where I was staying, and walked over to Queen St. for some dinner.

Next morning, I took a ferry out to the islands, walked around a bit, and enjoyed the view of the skyline.

Explored the ethnic neighborhoods, of which there are tons, and checked out the skyscrapers in the financial district, Union Station, and so on.

Went to the CN Tower around sunset and watched the lights snap on over the city.

Next day, took in a few more sights, Maple Leaf Gardens, the historic district just east of downtown with the covered markets, Chinatown, etc.

CN Tower on a clear day or night is a must.

Eaton centre is a good mall

Go walk around Queen St. West for sick shopping and just a generally cool area.

Beaches maybe if its nice?

Go back to Pearson airport and get on a flight to Montreal or Vancouver.

It will be my first time in Toronto.  I have seen pretty much everything in Montrreal since I'm from Quebec. Still looking for some sick stuff to do in Toronto.

Well you could
Check out Queen Street west, sick shopping area with lots of cool stores
Go to the Eaton center, pretty sick mall
Check out kensington market, really cool marketplace
Go to yorkville if your into really high end clothes/shopping
CN tower is cool
As for bike shops, Cycle solutions, cyclepath are both pretty good.

There is a reason more ppl in this thread are telling you to go somewhere else then things to do there...

Go see Mississauga.......its like Ontario's Chicago....in terms of building architecture.

Go to "The Guvernment" for a wicked ass electronic music show. It is listed as one of the  top 10 clubs in the world.

welll... you might want to go to dundas square (eaton center) and then make your way down queens where there are some nice stores (so hip it hurts, noise, ect.)

cycle solutions is okay
if you skate/ride bmx go to hogtown on king just before spadina.
it's been around for a really long time, about 20 years or so and is super legit.

queen west (lots of everything)
china town
kensington (you start at queen st. then walk through china town to get to kensington)

Uhm, as far as bike/sport stores

Hogtown, MEC, Any of the Cycle Solutions, Urbane Cyclist (not really for mountain bikes though)

The beaches are sorta gay.

If you like shoes/nice clothes go to -

Uncle Otis, Goodfoot, North Trooper, Capsule in Yorkville

Goodfoot, Ransom, Livestock Near/on Queen West

Went to Riverdale, just down the street a couple years ago.

Toronto is cultural, so if your up for it try lots of food i would base you trip on that foundation. Gerard Broadview area for Chinatown, take streetcar along Gerard to little India, take bus north to Danforth for Greektown...and that one day. Buy one day passes for the TTC and TTC everywhere, or rent a bike if you can, because that the best way to get around.

Go to a store called So Hip It Hurts on queen street. One of the sickest skate shops in Tdot. The islands are always fun to visit like center island. And if you are in toronto you might as well drive up to Vaughn and go to Wonderland.

hahahahhahhah what? Mississauga is full of asians who can't drive..it's almost as bad as Scarbaria. Don't go to Mississauga. Just walk around T.O QSW is definitely a fun street to go shopping on. If you're a country bumpkin if you walk down by Union station there are a lot of bank buildings and shit. Ski and Snowboard show is this weekend I think?

i am originally from toronto so i go there every summer to go to my cottage but when im in dt iw will go to:

eaton center-shops
yorkville-more shops
cn tower( it sucks when its packed and cloudy tho)
i play hockey
rideing the sub way is fun cas we dont have one in seattle so i just go around w/ my family on that sometimes
Blue jays game

Queen St West.

Check out livestock too. Livestock is just on spadina really close to queen. You can get to queen st west by walking 5 minutes from Osgood station

toronto has a pretty bangin graffiti seen if u into 'art'...there are plenty of walls to check out downtown.

i prefer that over architecture but thats just my cup of tea.

lots of cool shops/places to go.

id check out Kensington market to. so many cool people down there including the nicest rastas i have ever met!
