Need a good book

Title says it all.  I just finished my last unread book in my collection and am in need of something else to read.  Here is a list of what I have read in the last 4 months:

Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden
Generation Kill by Evan Wright
Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose
D-Day by Stephen Ambrose
A Rumor of War by Philip Caputo
Heinrich Himmler (biography on him)
Call of Duty by Lynn "Buck" Compton
Flags of Our Fathers by James Bradley

Yeah, I am kinda in need of another good book to read.  Suggest away please.

I should have said something kinda non fictionish/memoir.  I don't know why but even really good fiction books are boring me more than a non fiction or memoir book.

Based on your booklist, I'd suggest Slaughterhouse V. You'll know in the first two chapters if you're going to like it.

Right now I am reading "Into The Wild" By Jon Krakauer. I have seen the movie which is most likely the reason why this book caught my eye. I really like the way it is written. All the little things truly make this book the adventure it really is. It has quotes at the beginning of every chapter, captures every detail of his journey, real quotes from the people he encountered, etc. The author did a TON of research about the adventure of Chris McCandles before he wrote it which is why I think it came out amazing. He was really fascinated with his story and he wrote a remarkable story about it..

Jon Krakauer is pretty solid.  I just reread Into Thin Air.  It's about the biggest disaster ever on Everest, he was right in the middle of it too.

considering your list id say try Tom Clancy. read his original series (the books about the character Jack Ryan). it should keep you occupied for about a year if not more. also read Rainbow Six and Red Storm Rising.

AND you are a douchebag who has been here for like a week.  So, why don't you shut the fuck up, go back to 4chan, and jerk it to one of their gore threads in /b/ you fucking idiot.

I think I am going to first look for that Slaughterhouse V book and "Into The Wild" By Jon Krakauer for now.  I'll but the others on a list though someplace on my comp to find them later.

into the wild is one of my favorite books of all time. (read it)

i also really like his book "under the banner of heaven" it may seem boring, but i found it absolutely fascinating, and well written.

 "lone survivor" the marcus lutrell story..

anything by Vince Flynn. he writes a CIA operative tom clancy story type books. super super good. ive read them all.

Read "Monty." It's a biography on General Bernard Montgomery, its like, 2000 pages, fat-ass book. But for real, pick up an old maritime or nautical story. Those books are incredibly interesting. Something about people in a struggle with the ocean makes for an incredible story.

I've read that. I thought it had a good idea, but I didn't really like the book for some reason.

Just to make sure i'm talking about the right book, it's the one where the guys name is "equality-#####" and he meets like a girl who he can't really even touch? I know thats a random event with the girl, but I remember that part very distinctively for some reason?

Also, read "The Civil War" by Julius Caesar. I'm reading it for a class right now and it's kinda a drag, but I know I'd really enjoy it if it were purely leisure reading.

it wasnt nearly as good as Atlas Shrugged. but a good book non the less IMO.

yes they were (not him) they were equality ### and they would go to the mating house or whatever they called it. there was the grand leader who would have the people walk by in a line and say "painter, politician, sewer cleaner, etc. they were just assigned jobs. if i remember right they were assigned street sweepers, where they would sweep until they reached x number of years and then be sent away to die in the old house..

i liked it.

As posted above,
The road by Cormac McCarthy is amazing, reading it now.

Into the wild is also a really good book. I personally thought that McCandless was an arrogant asshole, but it was good nonetheless.


World War Z is a good book too, if you like zombie invasions and that sort of thang.
