Being half-Japanese, I cannot STAND how he (tarantino) uses the katanas in that movie.  First of all, there is no blocking with the side of the sword like a rapier becauase if you do that with a katana the damn thing will bend.  Second, I do kendo, and kendo is what the Samurai used to use as practice.  There is no blocking.  ARGH!!!!!!

I know this may come out weird in words, but that is just Tarantino's style of directing... Making things so unrealistic and completely inaccurate that they become good.

I guess I can understand.  But still, I guess it is cause i grew up seeing  how the swords are supposed to be used that movies like that and The Last Samurai aggravate me.
