Video camera filter/ Colour effects in FCP

I want to know how best to get colour wash or filter effects, do I need to buy some filters or is it posible to do it on FCP. This is the effect in looking for. If you could help it would be great. ++++K

I believe this shot was just oversaturated. Go to filters grab three way color corrector. and drag the saturation up and it will look like this.

exactly. it was a combination of when it was shot, later in the day and pull up saturation with 3-way color corector and maybe even boost blacks a bit

use procamp to boost your saturation, then curves to crush your blacks. you can up the highlights a bit too to make it a bit more contrasty
