Yes, the inspiration for the famous "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by The Beatles off of the album "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Harts Club Band." has passed. Dies at 46 from a long battle of lupus. I would like to send my condolences to her family (far stretch to be on ns  I know.) and would like to thank her for giving young Jullian Lennon the inspiration to draw that picture that made his daddy write a song about her.

While the song has strong ties to the drug LSD the inspiration came from this lady, who was a girl, a friend of Jullian's.

I am sure of Lennon's name being printed first on the album listing for the writers. which means that its primarily his song, and paul just added tweeks to it.

so, it WAS sarcasm then...  ok, good.  i think John said it was about a painting/drawing his daughter gave him.  Ringo said that he didnt think it was about LSD but they were doing a lot of it at the time.  Paul was the one that flat out said it was about the drug.

His SON Jullian, was school friends with lucy at the time. her parents had a jewerly shop, so he titled the picture lucy in the sky with diamonds

this is true, i too am a huge beatles fan, loved them since i was 4 years old and still do. my friends sister dated jullien for 3 or 4 years and i might add she and her sister are fine and do other stuff good ;]

that first pic of LSD just makes me smile =)
