Triple Threat ripped me off

So I pay the triple threat online premiere ticket and get my account and password.
Now, I got the pop up with the receipt which showed that I typed the right e-mail and paid. However I didn't get any receipt by e-mail and they charged me $34 instead of $10.

I'm pissed because I can't watch the movies I'm all excited about and they robbed me of $24. I sent them an e-mail, but I've not gotten an answer yet.

Has this happened to anyone else? any tips on what I should do?

I got charged ten bucks and it doesn't even say I paid when I log in. I also never got an email receipt...

This shit is super gay, I was so excited to see edias and then it didn't work last night and it still doesn't work.

I am sending an angry email right now though!

yo fuckers, PBP tried to do something cool for a ton of kids, but like everything there were glitches. Thousands of kids got to see the movie and yea it sucks that it didn't work for you, but instead of sending a cunty "angry" email, how about you be a little understanding and say something like "hey, I got charged it didn't work for me, I appreciate what you are doing for the sport but can I some how be reimbursed."

its not like they fucking purposely fucked you fags over, grow the fuck up and handle something like an adult.

Yo inferno why don't you shut the fuck up you idiot. It doesn't matter if they are trying to do something good or not the fact of the matter is that they didn't respond to my email last night and I have been unable to see what I paid for. I couldn't win and prizes and I couldn't see it last night. If they are running a legit company then they should respond to emails. Clearly some moronic ass fuck like you is running their operations and that is very annoying.

I did in fact send a polite e-mail explaining my problem. Did not send it to PBP though, sent it to the company streaming the show. mobilesomething.

The fact that they charged me 3 times what they said they would AND not letting me watch the movies should not make me completely satisfied right?

We should add up how many people paid 10 bucks to see this and got screwed. Then we can decide if this is worth angry emails. I would bet there are hundreds of people on this site that did. That's thousands of dollars they received from unhappy customers. I think it's worth some pissed off people.

Props to PBP for the idea, but you can't go into something like this last minute, advertise it on a ton of sites, make posts encouraging everyone to stream it for $10 bucks and leave tons of people on this message board hanging. I'm kind of over the fact that their were glitches, but now no one can watch it online and no response from anyone on this site or via email.

that's who I e-mailed to, couldn't find a phone number. Would calling PBP do any good? seems to me mobilerider is what's causing the problems. Don't tell me they were at the premiere to, InfernoHits..

I understand what you're saying, be patient. That is true everyone should be and yes that was true they were at the premier last night, but the premier is over. The new situation is it doesn't work now. In the end Mobilerider needs to respond, not PBP. PBP was busy with a premier and has their own business to run and should be celebrating. Mobilerider was hired to stream the premier, it's there problem.

I seriously don't understand why everyone has a problem with people complaining about this. In the current stat of technology and communication we shouldn't have to have a ton of people post on a message board to get responses. If your netflix didn't work you would be pissed, if comcast didn't work you would be pissed, but if mobilerider's services doesn't work, well don't worry it will work some day. Glitches and tech problems are not excuses anymore.

Someone stated today to act like an adult in this situation. Well an adult would post an update on this board, (mobilerider) and let everyone know what is going on to stop endless threads. That is how business is done. When you pay for something you expect to get what you pay for. If we were supposed to wait a couple days till it was available again well communicate this to use from the start.

yea i wont even let me log in. i emailed them and they responded with "thank you for subscibing". and also i receipt.  i know that they were all at the premier and are probably hung over but it would be nice to hear from someone with an offical word

Wow. You are a fucking tool. Poorboyz has been a professional company for well over ten years in the ski industry. When someone buys PBP product, they expect a professional service or product. When a kid pays $10 that they earned from their shitty summer job to see some shitty quality premier feed, and it doesn't work, they have every right to be upset. Not everyone derives the same amount of utility from a ski movie premier as some rich asshole who's mom or dad pays for all of their shit. It may seem reasonable for their to be glitches during an online feed, but it is completely unreasonable to not have some sort of online support available during the screening, like any other company in any other industry would provide. I'm sick of everyone cutting ski companies slack just because it's full of a bunch of uneducated stoner burnouts.

What's more, you have no idea whether or not they purposely fucked over. The fact that they weren't available for support while providing their shitty service begs the opposite. Go slap a "Life is Good" sticker on your Rav 4 and drive off a fucking cliff.

I fail to see the difference in paying $10 to watch it on your laptop, and $10 to watch it in a movie theater with a few "pros" and a bunch of other kids.

Just sayin...

And as far as the kids who got screwed, relax. I'm sure that the situation will be handled promptly - if not by the streaming site, then by PBP (....free copies for those who paid? Stickers, posters, gear, etc?) Think about it...

on another note, I think its pretty ridiculous that so many people had problems with this. And its not even the same problem happening to a number of people, its a whole bag full of different bullshit. I understand that the guys at PBP were out having a well deserved good time celebrating all the hard work they have put in the past season, but if you promise a service like that, trying to bring people in and make them apart of the experience that you are creating, that essentially means they just put themselves back on the clock. Somebody should have been making sure things were running smooth.

paypal didnt work for me so I used credit card. After I hit submit I got a white screen like when a page doesnt work, so I tried again. Later I saw that I had been charged twice............and I still only have a black screen, I thought maybe it had a ton of people and couldnt load or something but its been 5 hours. I thought if I was paying $10 I would see it right there and then with no problems, not even having to wait for it to load or anything.

Online premiers shouldn't cost money. (especially not $10)

When you see i in theaters you get to see it on a huge screen with the best possible sound and visual quality. You also get to go to a huge event with tons of people who love the same things you do. And on top of that you get a chance to win free stuff and meet the people responsible for the movie.

When you buy a DVD you get a good quality product that you can have forever to watch over and over lend it to people whatever you want.

The $10 online premier is a scam you get a poor quality video with bad sound on a tiny screen and you only get to see it once or twice. You don't get to see it with tons of other people. And you don't get the experience of being at a premier.

I hope everyone understands that now and this won't happen again.

ok I tried again and now it works...but I only get 2 minutes 8 seconds of nimbus then it stops. Above it it says full video will be available soon. WTF, I payed I thought it would be available right away.

Give the Mountain Sports International/MobileRider guys (the production team hired to bring the premier live to the world) a day or two to get back home (utah?) and capture the HD 1080p footage from their XDCAM HD tapes. Once they do that they'll encode the stream at a few bitrates (800kbps and 1.2Mbps most likely) and upload it to their content distribution network (Level 3) for you guys to watch online. You'll be able to choose your quality based on your internet connection, watch it full screen, and play/pause it.

RE: The problems live stream from last night...
I'm not sure exactly what happened, but to me it looks like they were having trouble properly registering people that paid, and so they just opened it up for everyone to see last night. Hopefully they'll get the registration issues sorted and you guys that paid will be able to re-watch it as promised.

I do hope that PBP gets a partial refund for all the problems though; they paid a lot to have this thing available live for you guys. While it is unfortunate that things didn't go quite as smoothly as hoped for, hopefully everyone learns from what happened and fixes the problems so that the next time we do something like this it goes off without a hitch!

Maybe the major issue here was just bad communication.. if it hasn't even been encoded and put online yet, there should have been some sort of clarification line about the re-watch that it would be online a few days after the fact.  But after receiving a few different emails saying "it's working now" from the hosting company, it leads me to believe that this wasn't the original case. 

Anyway, cool idea, terrible implementation. And to the people that are saying cut all these people some slack because they were busy last night - sure, but if they were offering a service, there should have been a team of people not out busy last night and manning this thing or clarifying what was happening/what people were paying for.

like i have the upmost respect for pbp and think the shit they do is amazing but i'm really disappointing that they havn't steped up released an offical statement about this whole problem.  its kinda of rediculous in my opinion. they are suppose to be a professional company and the people on this website probably represent 85% of their profiet

Wow, this thread is amusing.  On one side we have angry kids who are worked up over $10 and e-mails not returned on the WEEKEND (seriously, they are a small ski company, not a credit card company with dozens of people sitting around on a weekend by a computer just to answer e-mails) and then the other side contains angry folks defending the company in a self-righteous way.

To all involved - relax, it will get resolved.  They made a mistake.  If you didn't get to see it, you either will or they will refund you.  It happens.  They aren't some company out to scam a bunch of kids and make like $5000 or something lame like that.  No one risks reputation over a few bucks.  If they did this repeatedly you might have something to be upset about, but I am sure it was a technology glitch.

We should have received that info like 12 hours ago. Also, why was it not communicated to people purchasing the streaming from the beginning that it would be a couple days till we could watch it again?

PBP I'm not made at you and don't worry I'll still be buying Contrast, but mobilerider needs to get their act together because their site where you make the purchase and login has no useful information. I won't be buying any live web stream again. That's my last comment on the issue. I'm now just going to wait till I can actual watch all of Contrast.
