Downloading media files.

alright, so being a member of NS i constantly come across threads that have links to all sorts of music. Because its free of course i go to the page and press download to get the music. When its done i go to my downloads folder (FYI i have a mac) and drag it into itunes. For the most part all the files work but sometimes files that i download wont add to itunes but other people have posted in the thread that it worked fine.

do some files not work for macs? is there something else i need to do to the files that wont just drag and drop?

any info/help is much appreciated.

Happens too me on a pc i'll download an album and maybe 2 songs won't work.

Im finding i have the same problem. im also on a mac and i was gonna post a thread on this too. It gets really annoying. So please anyone know what the deal with it is.

well, i was gonna say maybe its a mediafire link, and you download the actual link, not the mp3, but i doubt it.

for most blogs, the user uploads the song to his or her domain name, so the site ends in .mp3, and is therefore downloadable by right clicking and saving as.

in your cases, are you guys saving the link as/ or youre just clicking and the message pops up asking to save?

I usually just click on download. than it downloads in the downloading box and after it finishes downloading nothing happens..?

yeah same. once it is in my download folder if the file works i just drag it into my itunes and every things good. However some files just wont do that.

Can I ask when you download music are we talking albums?
If so alot of media files (i.e Albums) rather than host each individual song, will compress them into one file which will end with .RAR or .ZIP.
If this is the case then download and install >http://rar.en.softonic.com/mac
