I just saved a mouse

So im packing for football camp. I go into my brothers room to snag any stuff he left behind that i may need.
so im walking out and i look into the middle of the floor, and theres this little black thing.
so i'm like "o shit mom! thats a mouse!"
so i go over to it, and i pet and, then i start rubbing his belly and messing with him.

but my cat was lurking around, and he was just hanging out, so i had to get him outside
so i picked him up, and brought him outside

Now i know, i took him from his mother, and brought him out into the wild where he will be alone and vulnerable, and i feel bad about that. but i couldnt just let him stay in my house, and i didnt feed him to my cat or kill him, so i tried, and thats what counts.

I once missed the bus a few years ago to save a hurt sparrow. I think it was caught by a cat and managed to get away. It's wing was broken and it looked pretty bloody etc...We took it to the humane society and they fixed it up and released it back into the wild. That made me feel pretty damn good.

Today I was biking in town and I saw a squirrel with a broken leg, so my friend tried to jump on it.

he missed though, so now the squirrel is just broken and traumatized.

I can't believe you were able to just walk up to a mouse, they always run when I get near one.

I saved a rabbit from a cat once; the cat had a baby rabbit in its mouth and i threw a ball at it (missed, but it was close) and the cat dropped the rabbit.

Funny/sad mouse story:

So one night i was sitting in my basement watching some tv and out of the corner of my eye i saw something scamper across the carpet, so i got up to investigate and found a little baby field mouse chillin in the corner munching on some sunflower seeds, but his foot was bleeding, and i felt terrible for the little guy, so i scooped him up, and brought him into my bedroom, and put him in a little tank i had with some bark mulch from my scorpion tank so he could recooperate. the next morning i walked out into the woods, where he could go free, and let him go.

fast forward to 2 hours later, once again i walk down into the basement and who is chillin right where i found him the night before? my little buddy. So i take him back out into the woods and let him go one more time.

not even 20 minutes after i bring him back out into the woods, hes back in the basement. I was nice before, now he has just overstayed his welcome. I decide that one last time ill let him go, but if i saw him again he was gonna be dinner for thor, my scorpion.

I come home about 3 hours later to find him back in the basement, and decided enough was enough, and thor looked hungry. well i caught him and threw him in the tank, and prob half an hour later i came back to find my little friend was headless, thor disposed of the rest of him before morning, it was crazy.

it was the only fitting name i could think of. i had it down to two names for him, i cant remember the other name, but if he turned out to be a d bag he was gonna be thor, and he was one angry motherfucka so i had no choice to call him that. i miss that thing haha when i went away to school i had my bro take care of it, and he fed it regularly, but decided that since he lived in the desert he didnt need water, needless to say he didnt live too long under my bros supervision
