hes 5'10" 175 lbs. and wants an extremely good groomer ski that can still rip in the park and is in width range of 80 to 90 mm

Would the prophet 90 be good for just skiing groomers a lot?

might be a little wide but chronics are very good. He can mount them a few back from center if hes hitting mostly groomers and they are not as wide (85 waist i think)

prophet 90s are supposed to be amazing on groomers for skis of their size

Correct.  THe prophet is designed to NOT be a park ski.  Its lines attempt to open up to the non parkrat demographic.  Its an awesome ski and rips hard.  I would take the 100 personally.  maybe have him look the lite one, without the metal.

right on the money, the p90 rips, but is in no way a park ski.

Why the recommendation to try the sans metal Flights?

90 is not too wide for groomers; the way the sidecut is shaped into the ski (more sidecut in the tip than in the tail makes it ridiculously quick edge to edge)

How do I know? I skied them, and am buying a pair for this season.

id go with a straight park ski cuz all the park skis ive had have ripped groomers but id say Trouble Makers, Chronic Cryptonite, Chronic, the Bridge, or some S1s idk JUST DONT GET SALOMON SUSPECTS IF YOU LIKE RAILS AT ALL THEY BREAK IN A MONTH
