learn your place in the seniority chain. you are at the bottom. know that. if a senior cuts you in line, you let him. if an upperclassman tells you to get water for the entire football team, you do it. dont be defiant to any senior and i promise you you wont have nearly as bad a time as if you were defiant

Are you going to a different school than your friends. Like are you staying in the same school system with a lot of your friends, or are you switching schools?
If you're staying in the same school system, or at least have some friends there. Hang out with them first, then if you're fairly outgoing you'll make some new friends.

Also, are you going to be on any sports teams? That's a great way to make new friends.

make friends and prove yourself to older kids, and kinda look up to them. you won't have to be their bitch, and they wont be pissed at you

i tried to be that little hard ass, i pissed some kids off, and its come back to bite me in the ass (i got punched in the ear? and i will get hazed a little worse at football camp), but i mean at times its helped out a lot, and i gained respect.

just be cool. if you are really nervous the best thing to do is chill with your seniors and smoke them up. Are you in a big school or a small one? Small schools are easier because you probably know them. In a big school just get a group of friends and survive the year. I am in a pretty small school (60 in my grade). don't be an ass, don't be a bitch and let people push you around. People thought it was cool that i was so passionate about skiing and i got a few rides up to the hill that way and rode with them. Just show that you love to ski and be nice but not a bitch.

My freshman year i was scared going into it too because i was pretty small at the time. I ended up getting some shit for my long hair at the time, but thats about it. Just tell them to shut the fuck up, the might make fun of you more but just say shit back. Thats what i did, and i ended up hanging out with a lot of upperclassmen and partying with the biggest vasity football players. Keep quit and dont do annoying and you most likely wont get picked on, but dont be weird and keep only to yourself.

Sparksnotes : Dont be a bitch, show them you have balls and if they cut you in line or pull the "SENIOR COMING THROUGH!!!" thing in the hall way, dont just back down. Show them you belond in high school.

dont be nervous, if you know people stick with them.  dont let the seniors push you around, if you stand up for yourself they will usually treat you with more respect...the more douchebag ones might gang up on you but that really never happens in my hs....oh and this yeah is my senior year!! yay

just be yourself... its pretty easy. dont worry about seniors or anything, the worst thatll happen is you get initiated and thats not even that bad.
but just try to make friends with everyone in your grade, or if you can, make friends with people in older grades. in grade 9 i hungout with grade 10s. and nobody really messed with me cuz they thought i was a grade 10. but back to the point. be yourself.

you probably don't wanna try and be a hardass, thats what i did my freshmen year and it wasn't that awesome.

alsooo don't be a massive stoner all the time, people don't really like it, and being high 90% of the time is only cool to other freshmen.

Going into Senior year right now, and honestly you don't have to worry about anything. I remember when I was a freshman being worried and such, it isnt a big deal. We have other things such as friends, bitches, and classes to get to. Fucking with the little ones just really isn't on any of our radars. Unless you fuck up really bad, and do something to one of the older kids siblings you have nothing to worry about. Just don't act like hot shit, cus i got news for you hansel... your not.

and yeah, no one really gives a shit. no ones going to go give you a wedgie or a swirrly in the bathroom and throw you into a wall. I mean they might be dicks and make fun of you and make you do things for them, but just be cool about it, not a little bitch, and it wont be bad

they really dont give two shits about you, your not going to get beat up because thats the last thing they care about

Im a senior this year and me and some friends just paddled some kids today but it was all in good fun. At my school there is alot of initiation but no one is really out to hurt you. Usually the people that get it are the ones that know the seniors. For example me and my friends only paddled my bro and his friends because they are now freshmans.

Yeah don't worry about it. People will give you shit for a little while but no one really does anything.

Oh yeah, freshman health class sucks. I had to take it as a sophomore last year and most freshmen are straight up dumbasses.

That's another thing. Don't be stupid. That is the best advice I can give you.

don't be afraid to talk to people.  if someone is a dick they're a dick and they will peak for their life when their 17.  Just get involved in some stuff early, you'll meet way more people, especially older kids, and it will help you in the long run for college if you are involved in stuff early.  just don't think it's cool to no get involved in things you'll just screw yourself.

Just get good grades your freshman year.  I did terrible (well in my my mind) my freshman year because I had academic level classes with awful teachers.  That dragged my gpa down and when senior year rolled around I was not happy with my class rank.  I was 54 out of about 230 where I should have been twenty something.  I killed my senior year with ap classes and everything.  Even got straight a's a couple times.  High school sucks, nothing to be nervous about at all.  You will be waiting for the day you graduate because it sucks.
