Dr. NS (i went bridge jumping and...)

I jumped off some sweet bridges in a local town.. I hit this one 80 ft bridge into the water and about an hour afterwards my back was killing me. The back pain went away but now i have this searing chest pain right in between my two pecs (where my breastbone is). It kills me to sneeze. It's been about a week now and the pain is still here.

i know some people are into the cliff/bridge jumping, so anyone have a similar problem? Anyone have any idea?

yeah but my backs fine now ive done tons of heavy lifting the past few days and im fine... its the chest that kills..

even though you have chest pain you might have compressed your spine+ broken some ribs. go see a doctor.

you could have dislocated your ribs from the spine ( its not actually dislocated its called something else i forget) but yeah when it happend to me it was so painful to breatch or just move but idk

Possibly inverted heart syndrome. Sometimes when the body undergoes a severe impact (ie. hitting water in your case) the heart will occasionally tend to position itself differently, sometimes to the extent of becoming fully inverted.

Maybe bruised, he would know if it was fractured or broken.  I broke my sternum at the end of the year two years ago, and passed out pretty immediately.  Had it pressed any further, it would push into your heart more than likely, and its possible you can die from that. I'd imagine he only bruised it at worst but who knows.
