$0! But I'll probably end up buying some nice books anyway.

I think the most I ever had to spend for a quarter was around $300 - those low level classes and their big ass, expensive textbooks are a nuisance.

$177 so far.  I still need to buy my English book which is unavailable at the moment.  I have 4 books for a natural resources class but I only bought the 2 that were available but they only cost $18 and I got a used one for $15.  My math book was $133.

under $100 for 5 courses.  u gotta check half.com, amazon, and chegg.com first cause they will most likely have the books you need for mad cheap.  like whoever else said above, most books you barely use so u can get a really used beat up book for cheap and not care because you won't need it too much.

I learned after freshman year first semester never to buy all the books until after classes start. You don't need half of them and will never open most of them.

I expect around $150-$200 if they are new.

Since my mom pays for them, it's like a little present at the end of the semester, and it sets me off right for winter break.

6 classes in a CE major, so I needed multiple books for some.  I spent ~$750 for books and online registrations, and I got good deals.  I do need to buy a $150 book on Steel Framing Code soon though, so I guess you can toss that in too.  This semester was rough for me.

dont buy your books rent them off chegg.com saved me multiple hundreds of dollars.. all my classes for just 190$ and im taking 16 hours of classes all you have to do is return the books at the end of the semester

Um, Accounting, Public Speaking, Ethics, American History and a computer informatics class. The real killers were accounting and history, i had 6 or 7 books for history to pick up. The total was probably closer to 700 but i can't find the receipts to make sure.

I seriously advise not buying books right at the start of term!! I just finished my first year of mechanical engineering in may and I managed the full year without buying a single textbook. Got decent enough grades to qualify for a masters degree as well!
THEY ARE REALLY NOT NECESSARY. Some will help for sure but dont just buy them cause somebody tells you to!
