Hey everyone on Newschoolers. My name is Josh Knox – I was Jon Olssons’ 08/09 filmer for his video blog.

This year was amazing. Jon is one of the hardest working athletes out there, and I had the privilege to film with him and some of the other best skiers in the world for 8 months. It was incredible. In July, I decided – with a need for summer in London, and wanting to shoot other sports in the fall, that I no longer wanted to produce the video blogs. Jon and me are still great friends, and no doubt I’ll be working with him in the future at events etc.

In my 8 months of filming skiing, I constantly put 100% into creating good video blog content for jon-olsson.com. Although, with doing daily videos, it is very hard to get creative everyday. I think I achieved that, and Jon’s lifestyle presented great opportunities for diverse sking and lifestyle. After I left the blog, I amassed footage I had gathered over the year, and thought you peeps on newschoolers might want to watch it – being summer and all. I think it will whet your appetite for the coming season!

So here is the link to my film. It is done traditional -ski movie- style, although it was never planned so don’t kill me for the lack of dolly and heli! Hehe.
Some of the athletes that have parts – Andreas Hatviet, Tom Wallisch, Oscar Scherlin, PK Hunder, Colby West, Jon Olsson, Anders Backe, Tanner Hall, Jacob Wester, Simon Dumont, TJ Schiller, Henrik Harlout, Bobby Brown, Phil Casabon and a few more.

What really impressed me with this one is that I had seen most of the shots on the blog(since I've followed it all winter long) and I've enjoyed the whole thing. It didn't feel like you just put your old shots "in the microwave" to make them look fresh. The edit was truly a pleasure to watch.

he could only use music they could get the rights to for free so thats why a lot of the music wasnt great

really great stuff and i gotta say, i've always thought that a regina spektor song would work in an edit but NS would bash it, but your music choices were on point, loved it.

Yeah the music was a tough one with the video blog, we had to get full rights to use the songs...

Wow, I never made the connection between Josh Knox and Tom Knox until today.. anyway Tom killed it in that edit and the filming was sick. Any idea when Square One is coming out?

You're the man Josh! With all your filming and editing talent + the people around you, you could make a sick "extreme sport movie" with just a Knox touch of everything! Would have been epic! Hoping to see some more sick stuff from you in the future, and good luck!
