This reminds me of a story, somewhere in the beginning of last century.
Probably the first olympic games to be held again, or some other sporting event.
It was one of the first times an event was broadcasted live, athletes from all over the world were present, including some of the first black people ever to participate in a western sporting event like this.
These people had never before seen the wealth and richess of the west, they had never before seen cars or televisions, radio, etc. It speaks for itself that these people were completely amazed by everything that was going on.
One of them was a runner, and he had seen guns before in africa, but he had never before seen a video camera, so when he prepares for starting, the gunshot sounds and he sees a guy pointing a strange gun-like thing pointing at him (it was a camera...), the guy is so scared he runs for his life, he thinks hes being shot at. He runs so goddamn fast he set a new WR and he even kept running because he was so scared, later they found him and explained everything, then he came back and collected his prize...
