I haven't played my xbox in a long ass time because I sold all my games for money, and I was about to sell the console until my friend showed me this video of multiplayer footy, and it got me pumped for this game, and made me keep my xbox.  It looks so dope, and I know how crazy everyone on NS is for CoD so i thought I'd share.

i just did prestige so my classes are kinda whack but I mainly use:

m40 with acog and stopping power
mp5 with red dot and band, stop and steady aim
RPD with grip, stop and steady aim (I own with this gun, its so ridiculous)
m40 with reg scope claymores, stop and iron lungs
last one is usually a toss up for whatever I want at the moment, mostly m4/m16/some silenced gun

every CoD game is the same as the last with just a couple little add ons.  yes, WWII is badass....  BUT ITS BEEN SO FUCKING PLAYED!!!!!  CoD, Medal of Honor, Brothers In Arms, and tons of other SHITTY games have had a WWII setting.  then there is movies.  Saving Private Ryan and others, Band of Brothers.  people, are starting to get tired of hearing about the "Great Generation" and the last honorable war.

It is not the same as CoD4... they changed a lot of little aspects, and the power of the guns/maps/etc. etc. all add up to making it less legit.


You want a good WW2 FPS, play CoD2.

bwahahaha...teyarch butchered cod WaW...cod4 is the way to go, cod4 is a harder game imo, serisouly i when i play WaW at a friends I can hop right on and go 20 - 5 in a map with out knowing shit about it, people just blow their loads over fucking jewish zombies but thats it i never hear anything else positive from the game...play me in 4 i'll beat you, play me in WaW i'll beat you.

WaW is shit i tried to play it but it was just soo bad my bro plays i stuck with 4 and leveled to 10 55 and treyarch is shit cod4 is the way to go infinty ward is way more quality

you guys havent given a single legitimate reason for your opinion. theyre literally the exact same game except obviously the fucking guns and levels are different. i dont know anything about cod before 4 but all this "treyarch sucks infinity ward is awesome" is completely irrelevant here, its just fanboy bullshit, they are identical games

I usually never use the acog, but since I pretty much exclusively snipe I see what you mean. Never on the R700, maybe on the m40a3 or m21. Actually, the only snipers I use are the 50 cal and the R700, the R700 being the best in my opinion. That + stopping power and deep impact is cool, even in hard core. red r700 or digi r700 ftw.

The normal scope doesn't scroll fast enough with the sensitivity I use at close range, so acog can help.

They are completely different

From maps, to design, hit registration, weapon damage... The story was sick, yes...

Multiplayer? not so much. Maps were too large and cluttered, or too small and cluttered...

Hit registration was off a bit, and maybe it a wee bit less fun for me

Weapons all seemed the same, with only slight differences, or with huge differences

Weapon Damage was also very similar between guns

The amount of bugs, and glitches found in WaW is amazing... from floatinng ontop of the map, to going absolutely invisible...

While there were some cool things ( dogs, Recon Plane, that stuff)

Wasnt that good in my opinion

Double post but whatever. When I played world at war, all the guns felt the same. Like I never saw a reason to use different guns, they all just seemed lame and bad. Snipers included. I just didn't enjoy it as much.

I saw some footage of modern warfare two, the guy had a fifty cal. Bolt action better be there too. I have to find the video, but for some reason I keep thinking throwing knives were in it?? But if you throw a knife at body armor, nothing would happen. You'd need a head/neck shot. And the gihile suit or however it's spelled, better work better. They should give you certain ones for certain levels, cause a green jungle one is no good in the desert or city.

Also, my idea from the start was to give a killstreak award for like 25 kills or something. It should either be battleship, where some ship would launch giant missiles or a nuke.

kill streaks go up to 15 but they havent released details yet. and yea theres throwing knives, you can throw them and then go up to the dead body and pick your knife back up to reuse. modern warfare 2 is going to be fucking sweet. only gay thing i can see as of right now are the shields and bomb mask thing. when in crouch and having the bomb mask as a perk you are basically unstoppable, i have a feeling its going to be overpowered in some spots. like a whole team has shields and 1 guy has a gun or somethin.

And the cool thing about the IW smaller maps is even though they are small they still feel nice and big.  Treyarch's piece of shit their big maps, if you have less than like 5 people in the map, its boring as all fuck.

i hope they fixed sniping online.

i hate it when i'm in a full sprint and get sniped, then upon watching the replay, see that he shot 6 feet behind me, yet still killed me. I don't think people realize that you have to actually hit what you're shooting at to have any chance of killing it, not just in the general area.

That sounds fun. It really depends on what game type you play. At least your class is realistic.

I don't know though, after time I stopped going with the crazy unique classes. Eventually I got good enough that I could dominate kids on almost any map, any game type with a G-36C with red-dot, bandolier, stopping power, and steady aim.

I do know I also use the other single shot assault rifle (M14 I think) with Red Dot, extra special grenades, Overkill, and I think sprint, not completely sure on the last one.  Then for my secondary weapon in this class I had the AK74u.  It was like my favorite  set up for a long time because I could still clear out rooms and shit with the AK74u but sit outside and wait as well with the M14.

AK74u is way too slow for me. My friend swears by it though. And overkill is ungodly noob! Just grab the first SMG you see laying on the ground.

But this is getting off topic.

Plausibility is not the problem. The game isnt a simulation of real life so that doesnt matter.
Perks are stupid.

Other than switching between a silencer/red dot/acog and different types of nades etc. there really shouldnt be much else to fuck around with. I know the trend in FPS games is now making everything customizable and whatnot, but really its all pointless and just makes the game less balanced/fun IMO.

The newer Rainbow Six games have a pretty cool customization set up.  The less armor you wear the easier it is to get killed but you can move around faster.  The more camo facepaint you use the better you blend in and shit like that.  If CoD went that way it would be cool but they are too action/arcade-ish based compared to Rainbow Six trying to be completely 100% tactical.

Not modern warfare two related, but I played with a newschooler on cod4 just before, his clan tag was [iSki]. I messaged him, he rides elizabeths, not sure if he's on here. Weird.

I trying to make it to the last prestige before it comes out. I'm at 5 i think.

A customization setup ala CS:S or something would be ideal (except without the whole money aspect).


More customization =/= more fun. CoD2 is the best game in the franchise and there was no customization.
