Car speaker (sub) question

first off, i dont know shit about speakers

so i have 2 subs in a car i just got, there 12" and in a enclosed box in the trunk.

the question is, right now there facing twards the back, and im wondering if they should be twards the front. i checked it out and it will turn 180.  what will give me the best bump inside the car?

common sense says i should turn them around, but like all the cars i see on rap videos or tv have speakers in the trunk pointing out. maybe there just being dumb rappers though

I've tried mine both ways, and they sound better facing the back.

Facing the way they are. You can spin them around and see how it sounds. If it sounds like crap, just flip them back around.

Technically speaking, subs are omni directional. So it shouldnt matter which way its facing.

thanks all,
i turned them around just to try it, couldnt really tell much of a difference, think the person who said they were omni directional was right.

just gunna leave em like that. they look more baller like that anyway

those subs should pound, idno why you would want it to hit harder in the car.

my friend had a single JL, i think it was a 14 inch, in the backseat of his extended cab pickup and it was hard to breath when it was thumpin

Yeah man, I had 2 12" JL w7's in my jeep when I was like 17, had to keep the sub vol on 0 because I couldnt breathe with them turned up and it made my ear drums hurt. Got rid of em for 2 10" w3v2's though, quicker kick for those fast bass lines and not as loud.
