Skis too short

Im about 6' tall, 150 pounds (I know im lankey as fuck) and Im stuck on what skis to buy. I diffinately need at least 178cm ski preferably semetrical.

I was thinking either the Anthems or the Invaders, what would be better for me, the stiffer one or lighter?
I need more options aswell. Throw names of some good park skis at me.

Im not really leaning towards any ski, but It needs to last long and be the propper height.

Is 178cm too small?

i don't know a whole lot about either, but ive heard that the anthems are much for versatile in terms of taking them out of the park but the invader are better in the park. you will probably be fine either way, maybe you should see what deals you can get and go with whats cheaper?

Well I do have enouph money for park skis/bindings, I just care about which ski is more durable/fit for my height.

wher do you ski...what do you plan to ski...how aggressivly do you ski...are you done growing?

Im in ontario, almost 100% park, not done growing (14 years old) and I dont know how agressivly I ski.

go with something in the low 180's.  with a center or near center mount the skis will feel much shorter.  take a look at amplid skis, or solly suspects.  if u plan on doing nothing but park anthems or invaders while short will work.

Well, I don't know how much this helps but I am your weight and about four inches shorter. I love the flex of the invaders. They are super buttery and so much fun

Im 6'2" and have had centermounted 185s, 182s, and currently have some 176s centermounted. Honestly Ive had the most fun on the 176s, the are waay lighter, granted the two longer skis were 95+ in the waist. They are more nimble, and playful as well.

moment skis are pretty good. the jibs and rockers are excellnt.

they also have good warrenty

I am around your size and find my 176 Salomon dumonts (centre-mount) difficult outside of the park in less than ideal conditions. I find the shorter skis dont give me as much confidence on bigger jumps and tend to get deflected more easily in variable snow and well pow performance is less than ideal.

Next season Im jumping up to either 181 ar6s or 181 salomon suspects possibly the 178 chronic kryptonite (depends whether they measure long or not).

Remember some companies measure longer and some shorter than advertised, so a 176 armada is longer than a 176 from salomon.

I would tell you The antidogma 178 or any moment or liberty skis becouase those are all sick but alas ontario doesnt really have any of those brands... Living in toronto, i too wish that other ski brands were avalible to us.

everyone is always going to tell u to go bigger, but having smaller skis isnt the end of the world, imo anthems are the best

Thanks for your help everyone. I think Im going with the 178 Anthems. I want a playfull ski that doesent feel to big. I think this should do it.
