A homie of mine, Mike Hanley just told me about the academy they are starting at Windell's this year that he is running where you live, ski, and go to school at Windells. It's like permanent summer camp, scope it windellsacademy.com

this would be epic to go but it sounds kinda weird, like some parents that butt rape their kid to become a pro skier/snowboarder have their kids go there(positive and negaticve sides to that). and i don't think a college would look at a ski/snowboard camp academy as that legit, but what the hell do I know

they say its like kaplan college or run by kaplan college, no offense to anyone but kaplan college has commercials all the damn time and its pretty much a huge joke. once again not trying to hate, just informing

^ most ski academys (Carrbassett, Waterville, Holderness) where all the rich parents sent their kids to be "pros" are upwards of $40k a year. Skiing is not a cheap sport if you want to live the cool life as a teen and then eventually move to Boulder and hang out with people just like you, ha!

who has this kind of money to send your kid to expensive ass college before they are even of college age.

ill tell you who has it made the kids who go to school in alta, most of their parents just work there alta supplies housing and dont pay property tax, so they get to go to school for free in the goldminers daughter.

I take it you have never heard of prep schools or have seen the pricetags on them. I went to a $33,000 a year prep school for two days. But I didn't want to be there so i went back to public.

Wow this looks pretty awesome but...... Going there, you would'nt have a real high school experience and stuff, think of how many friends you would leave behind, and I personally don't know any parents with or without the money that would send their kids to a "ski prep school".

Yeah, kids seem to burn out at these places, I know a dude who went to OMS and boarded almost every day.  Now all he does is smoke cigs and sleep.  It's way lame.  And he's going to URI... why anyone would want to go to Rhode Island is beyond me.

my parents are just fuckin gay. i cant do anything with them. i want to ski and they are like totally against it. i quit soccer and not they want to like kill me. they dont let me ski a lot. thats why i sneak out of the house every weekend :) and then i get grounded but its totally worth it. but they wont let me go to this camp.

I would literally kill to go to this.  Living there would be dope and you'd get so good.  But what I'd do is probably go for like a semester of my sophomore of junior year so you didn't miss everything at home and still didn't get sent away to an unknown school forever.  I would also go the whole year if i could afford it haha
