Okay today i was hiking in the foothills and found a bone on the ground.  It looks pretty cool and I want to make a pipe out of it somehow so does anybody have any advice?  it sorta looks like a pipe already problem is that theres a hole thru it so i think ill have to either fill in the bottom of it or do something else crafty.   also if anybody can identify what kind of bone and what animal it came from +k!

Not only is that incredibly disgusting..its probably really unsanitary too. I would NOT smoke out of a fucking bone. If you NEED to make a pipe out of a bone, get a femur or something.

maybe you could glue a bottle cap to the bottom. it might be to skinny to drill a hole through the stem though.

What I'm thinking is first try and make a cone out of some sort of material(wood?) to make the bowl. put that on top and secure if with some gorilla glue or something. Then make a wooden bottom piece to cover up the bottom of the pipe. Then drill a hole under the cone through the long piece out to the end. Thats your mouthpiece obviously.

Not sure if that was confusing or not.

Pretty cool find though.

since its long and flat, you should make it sideways, the whole at the end will be horizontal with the ground, but it will be easier to get your mouth on (see, its already gay)

so i'm thinkin that you prolly won't be able to hollow out the long part.
but you could get a decently thick stick and hollow that out.
or find that annoying neighborhood kid and take his leg. (although this isn't recommended)

from here it's pretty easy.
hollow out the stick (or bone) but not all the way through. leave a couple of inches until the end. then cut through the stick perpendicular to the other cut so you can connect the hollowed out part to the bowl head. then put a screen over the second cut (burning bud never tastes good). then attach the bowl looking part of the bone to the screened part. prolly some sort of glue. idk bout that. it should be waterproof, and hopefully non-toxic and not flammable.
then fill the bowl part with tobacco.
then smoke the tobacco.


this is for tobacco right. cuz mommy always said smoking pot was bad...
oh and i'd prolly not do that cuz one it'll reek like shit after a couple of uses, and thats kinda fuckin weird.

you need to put something thats gonna keep the bowl from actually burning.. like.. you're gonna get some bone ash in the bowl once you start lighting it depending on how long you hold the lighter to the bowl.. that's kinda disgusting..
i've never put a flame to any legit bones though so i dunno how long it would take to actually burn?
did that make sense?

On another note, If you were going to drill through the long part of the bone, the hole would be hella thin, and hard to get air through. But if you were to build around it... or hollow out a rib bone and attach it somehow

It seems like you could just glue a small circular peice to the bottom to cover it up, and then tht would be the bowl, Then just hollow out the stem part.  It would look like a giant corncob pipe.  Use something that isn't going to burn for the bottom though and careful with the glue or you'll end up smoking it.

it would be expensive... but how sick would that look... either that or some kind of invisible but durable stuff that you could mould around a bit of it. For the bowl problem just go buy some little metal filters or get a glass bowl and super glue it in

not to be a downer but go to your local hardware store and check out how much it is for a drill bit that long and that skinny to drill the neck.

then think about if its worth it.

doable forsure, but your gonna need some steady ass precise hands.

Only thing I'd be concerned with would be the fumes of burning bone, I that can't be good for ya but as for making a pipe outta that, I think the 'stem' is too thin to drill but if you could find a way to seal the hole off and maybe drill a little into the bone to make a bigger bowl, you could... Honestly thats all I've got best of luck man.

make sure that when you drill it you use a drill press or make sure you have a really steady hand. Also, i would make sure you use a skinny bit to start, so that if you get off track you wont pierce through, then go back and use the smaller hole as a guide for the size hole you want.

i live in fort collins, we were on some trail by rist canyon.  old flower trail or some shit, we were trying to 4 wheel but the trail wasnt open yet cuz it was too wet.  so we just walked up and down the trail

Alright here's what you do. You first need to figure out the dimensions as far as width and length of the bone. After measuring these figures properly you need to figure out a way to create a bowl that is capable of being connected to the shaft of the bone so smoke can properly flow threw when taking a hit. Don't worry about making a carb because that's clearly going to be an unnecessary drilled hole that would stress the integrity of the bone and possibly make it crack. You could possibly connect a very small rubber tube that is glued to the bottom of the shaft that connects to the bowl you have created out of whatever you deem necessary (wire, metal). After connecting this piece you should be able to smoke away. But the hardest part about this device is telling your parents you're gay, and that you are smoking weed out of bigfoots cock. Good luck.
