Help Me wth Speed

So I just finished the same type of drop in as the one used by vtskier_RP$ and Cole. I put it all together and tried it out and I feel like I don't quite have enough speed. I'm very close to the right amount but I need help tweaking my set-up. The two sections of the drop ins are each 8 feet long

Does anyone have ideas? Could it be the transition? Could I pump that like I'm on a mountain bike? Is there too much flat?

Also a question for vtskier_RP$
Did you wax or wet the pipes on your drop in?

nice afterbang,

but all you need is a steeper hill to lay the sections on. or just prop up the first one.

your setup looks good though, just needs to be steeper.

if anything i would say there is not enough flat
someone correct me if im wrong but you need enough flat for skis to sit without any arc in them

also maybe try blocking tup the first drop in section at the one end to give you enough

I got more speed by:

a. flipping the first section of the drop in
b. increasing length of the flat
c.keeping the pipes constantly wet

go crazy with your pole pushes. and make sure the turf is properly soaped

sure, pump the transition some.
but really, just prop up the first part of the dropin so it's steeper.

also try using candel wax on your rail it usually makes it so you carry your speed more

ive got a much more sudden and kinked transition, so thts def not the problem, maybe use other soap, dishwasher soap gets me just on the lip of my kicker and brown/green soap gets me easily over the rail and still carry enough speed to ski away 3m or so....

oh yeah, before i forget, i had speed issues as well because i had a drop-in tower and dint allways use poles it wasnt easy getting more speed since i couldnt push with my poles so i mad two sturdy grips on top of my tower so i can litteraly swing myself into speed as if you were to slide down a tobbogan (those have starting grips as wel, nawwadamean ?) works perfect.....

you may be better off waxing the pipes rather than keeping them constantly wet, it does the same thing. When we waxed ours we got more speed but had less control.

would some ski wax work?

I get plenty of speed now from just shimming everything so there is no play in the drop-in.
