so if everything works out, i should be getting a pair of ON3P caylors this fall, now the olny problem is what bindings to put on them! im 6'2", 145 lbs, ex racer of 9 years, 317 bsl. The bindings i'm looking at are sth16, s916, jesters, deadbolt 18, and anything else 16 din and up! the din on these will be set between 12 and 14.
look into the fischer X17, you didn't list them and they are pretty cheap... I've ridden them and they felt quite solid. I ride 916s they're amazing. Jesters blow up pretty easy... and the deadbolt is quite similar to the fischer X17 because it is also made by tyrolia
the reason im not really looking at fks is due to the very narrow mounting pattern. the x17s are nice, plus i could get them for like $5 sense my sis is sponsored by fischer *claim*(see pics to back up claim). and i like to have a diverse quiver! my EPs have 614s on them, my LL2s have fks 185, my teneighties have 912s, my JJs will have dukes. O add the vist 816(i think that right) to the list
oh yeah, and i have to say... i'm fucking jealous of you. how'd you get your hands on a pair of caylors?? not in the production stage yet or are they?? (been away for awhile)
I got the dynastar troubles and THEY ARE PRO... great durability, high din, stability, lightweight, get um... dynastar makes look bindin's as well so check those out to
I have Jesters mounted on my EP Pros. I've used both Jesters and STH16s on pow skis and they're both very solid choices. If I'm not mistaken, the STH16 actually has a slightly wider mounting pattern than Jesters. STH16s also have the option of drilling a fifth screw in the heel, most likely reducing the probability of ripping out the heel piece. That being said, from my experiences I've found that I like the feel of Jesters more on wider skis. It could be the shorter mounting pattern, I'm not really sure. Jesters will also be a lighter option than STH16s or S916s. Although I'd recommend any of the bindings I've listed. Haha, sorry for the rambling recommendation.
well i still have my race skis that im not using and thats what they are mounted with. my family has loads of race shit cuz my sis is sponsored by fischer and i was by head till i stopped racing
I think you should go with what you fell is right. Don't just go with deadbolts cause someone has told you to. Try demo bindings friends bindings and what feels best under your feet then that is the binding for you.
