First indoor ski area???(for the states) New Jersey?!!

so ya i guess theres this new facility in new jersey and has an indoor ski area... has ne one been there yet? hom much does it cost?..........but ne ways i guess its like a fucking huge mall but just alll about sports and has like an 80in screen to watch game on.... pretty much ESPN zone  on steriods!!!!!!

this is the site.... http://www.meadowlandsxanadu.com/static/node1304.jsp i didnt fine ne thing about skiing but you can easly tell from the pics of the out side that theres ski area... theres also a blog for it i guess and theres like couple pics on the internet showing the inside of the ski area.... so i ne one knows ne thign about this place let us kno here!!

ill tell you what i kno... but ya its real i saw it my self(out doors)....i gues the temp is (-2c) and they have a chair lift... small terrian park....140 vertical....i guess good quailty snow...... remember this is all info that i found on different sites so dont take my word for it..... ne more info!?

They have been saying its going to open next year for almost the past 3 years earlier this year they said it would be open by this summer and now they are saying summer of 2010.

Don't get too excited- we have loads of these in the UK and they're pretty over rated. Unless they have a freestyle setup built, which is rarely,  it's just one run that you get down in about 5 seconds and then spend 5 mins getting back up...

May be other posts, but I've never seen the website before.  Also, if you look at the images, especailly the aerial photos, it looks like it is almost finished.  It could be some kind of photoshop thing but it looks real.  There's no way that they are going to sit on that space and all that debt for another year.  That would put them way in the hole.  If that thing isn't opened by this summer based on how close to completion it looks, I'd be floored.  They're either going to have to open it and start collecting rent or go under.  That's the way I see it anyway.

hahahah the other day I was thinking of making a thread titled "Construction on Xanadu is stopped" because thats what I heard on the news over the weekend... its going to be a while, there is a shit load of problems with this thing and the economy isn't helping

i live 15 minutes from it and they've been saying that its gonna open "next year" for like 3 years now. and its still not open and they still dont have a date for its opening yet. the problem is that the place is so fucking huge and way too expensive to rent space for stores so they cant fill up the mall with enough stores to open it. its right next to giants stadium and it looks pretty small for a ski hill from the outside. im super pumped for it to open tho, not really for the indoor skiing but more for the insanely huge Cabela's thats gonna be in it. its gonna be sick. skiing in the summer isnt a bad thing either....


and btw, there like 20 threads on this already, like everyone said, SEARCHBAR

Very interesting.  Dayam, with as big as that thing is right now, someone is out a ton of cash.  Obviously claimboy's friend's dad.  He should have invested that money with me.  Huck and Splash has a much better shot of actually making it. My claim!

yes and according the the friend dad there making the place so more people will come to the mall. so the skiers is not the first thing on the list. it will be sick yes but don't think it will be anything like a ski mouton where the first thing on there mind is the skier, the first thing on there minds is how can we get more people to by shit at the mall.

I live in jersey but im not that excited. I've rode the ice box in Dubai and it was really weird. It felt like being in a freezer. If they set up jibs that be legit but Its not gonna be big tho, but hey u gotta start somewhere. Today freezers tomorrow..?
