mostly because shit is so cheap in ecuador, if you're moving from anywhere with money (in this case Canada) you can live like royalty. they're getting a huge place that's right on the beach, gated community with security guards and everything, and the developer is this rich adventurous dude from the US. and let's not forget the weather, they're gonna love that shit.

Skype is sweet, i can talk for free with m y parents in Denmark, while i'm in the states and its just as good quality as a phonecall overseas.

My first shot at skype was today.  Its amazing how you can call for free from australia and connect with people across the world.  My aunt was all super emotional and practically sobbing after being able to see my dad, live, for the first time in years.  Fuck yeyahhh
