Dear snowboarders

what do you claim as a backflip? is it a parallel backflip to the jump, like a sideways lincoln loop, or is it an actual backflip where you spin 90, then backflip, then go back to your original stance? thanks

im not a snowboarder, but on amped a sideflip uphill is a backflip. but its amped so i dont know haha

a backflip as far as i know is when you flip perpendicular to the direction youre traveling, while flipping parallel to the direction youre traveling is a wildcat. i might have it backwards but im pretty sure thats right...

i was wondering the same thing... im pretty sure its just a lincoln loop  not a 90 flip 90.

A backflip is the Lincoln Loop-esqe flip. A wildcat is a backflip in the plane of movement.

I snowboard.  It doesn't matter much but a backflip is done so many different ways.  Some do them straight back off the tail or maybe straight back off the back edge (also known as a a back roll).  Who cares.  90-flip-pretz90 is dope too.

I feel that a back flip is your head going straight behind tilting your head past your shoulders (i.e. 90 degree rotation, flip, back to normal stance) anything else is like a roll

3rd that.... saw Devun Walsh and Chris Dufficy have a wildcat comp at Whistler in like 04' or so, fuckin sick Duf won with lie 20 of em in such a short section of bumps.

False. That is a wildcat... there is an entire crew deticated to that trick based out of Whistler... Devun Walsh, Chirs Dufficy, Dione Delssale etc...

i snowboard and when i do a backflip i turn 90 then flip then continue the other 90 degrees and land switch but thats just me.
