Buttering

So i was sure i was going to get the anthems, but i am having second thoughts. sure i love hitten rails and buttering. but i like hitten jumps too. so do you think chronics are a good idea. after you break them in can you do butters? and how are they on rails?
iight here is some backround info..
i live in the midwest
the biggest jump ive seen around here was probably about 50-60 feet
and im probably going to be competing alot this year rail comps slopestyles and what not.

Chronics are a better jump ski, and you can butter any ski if you put enough weight into it. I'd say Chronics are also a better slopestyle ski (mix of jumps and rails).

thanx guys. if i got chronics (i ride 99%park 1% allmtn) how should i get them mounted? shld i get the companys recommended center. or should i true center mount them.

You ski wilmot, I worked there for many years. Definitly mount what ever ski you get for park dead center. Also how much do you weigh? Id say if you are 150+ you could easily butter the chronics, esp after you break them in.

id say go with the anthems there very good wit jumps garret russel uses them and andy perry does to and there both goin off huge kickers

I would go with the anthems. Yes, they are a little softer but they are a little wider and as long as you get like 176 i think they make them in, you will be fine with bigger jumps. Also, they are 100% symmetrical unlike the chronics which are not symmetrical. I would do the anthems.

if you decreased the nose of chronics by 1mm and increased the tail width by 1mm they would be symmetrical...

...thats not very much....therefore the argument of symmetrical(shape) is practically irrelevant.

they do however have different flex. chronics do not have a symmetrical flex

thanks for the replys. yeah im having a trouble time deciding. i suppose that if i dead centered the chronics i would be fine. and LJ Strenio and Joe shuster rape rails on the chronics. soo im confused.

anthems are the  way to go so flexy and perfect on jumps I hit 65fters with them and the work fine

yep mount em at true center, that way, it'll be easier to spin and blance on rails

mine are mounted way back from center, and are fine for rails, and spins.

Anthems are a shitty ski. Its the truth. Chronics seem quality, but why limit yourself to Line?

im sure anthems are going to be fine on jumps, pros use them and they are hittin big stuff, so jumps they will be fine.

Chronics are indeed a sweet ski though, anthems probably better for rails and buttering but Chronics are better at jumps.

However, the anthems will be fine on jumps

the chronics will be "butterable" and they will be fine on rails as well.

either way you cant go wrong just depends whether you want the softer anthems or the stiffer chronics really.

Chronics- Better for jumps
Anthems- Better for rails and buttering

this is the hardest decision i think ive seriously ever had to make.
its either between the chronics or octoland.
i have my credit card sitting right in front of me and its killing me.
but here's another question. i have look px 12 jibs mounted on 85 fujis. would i have to
get  new brakes if i wanted to mount the octolands??

aaron when did i say that it would be hard to do rails on a ski mounted back? have you ever ridden a ski that was mounted at true? no so you wouldn't how much easier it is to spin and balance on rails. jeeze seems like every post you make is with the intent of picking a fight.
