really badly interlaced could be due to the fact that he might of been shooting in "24p."
More than likely your using an hdv camera. All mini dv or hdv tapes know is 60i and absolutely nothing else, but they can create 24p using a pulldown. Basically what im trying to get to is that really bad interlaced stuff your seeing is due to the fact that you have to remove the pull down in post. If that makes sense.
Basically i just recommend not shooting in 24p if thats the case. Thats just what it looks like.
Other than that it is a pretty good little short.
