if i were to get married id want something i could do that makes me happy that doesnt involve my wife. when you have to spend your whole life with someone you need to have some different interests otherwise you'd just go insane being in eachothers company 24/7

if she understood my love of skiing and was cool with me skiing as much as possible all winter i'd be happy with it.

i dont think i could ever be with someone who didnt ski. the girl im with now loves to ski which is awesome. she never gets mad when im not hanging out with her as much in the winter cause im skiing

3 feet of fresh sucks when you are injured and cant ski...i dont think you understand how gay it is looking at what would be heaven if you can't ski so you gotta look at the next best thing: getting stoned and drunk on a beach where there are tons of bitches running around who just want it and will come get it

well, by "non-skier" I'll assume you mean non-snowboarder as well.

The girl I'm with right now is a boarder, but she doesn't take it too seriously, just goes like twice a week for a couple runs type thing, I think I only rode with her two or three days this winter, and even then, probably only took the lift up with her and did the same run like, 10 laps at the most. If I was in the mentality that I wanted to get married I would marry her no questions asked.


With that in mind, I do think I could marry someone who doesn't ski/board - but they have to fully understand what skiing means to me. If my girl EVER, and I mean EVER tries to compete with skiing for my love, I won't hesitate to get rid of her. Skiing is my #1, I doubt any female will take that spot away any time soon. Maybe when I'm like 35 and have kids I'll have to re-prioritize my life and put family #1. Maybe.

it would definitely be hard.

i taught my girlfriend how to snowboard last season. but now that she is getting the hang of it she wants to try skiing. cause she says its so much more interesting watching ski videos lol. she has a point

idk i would def try to find a skier/boarder girl to marry but i could deal without it as long as i get my share of riding in during the winter. also, i think that we would find biddies that ski snowboard more easialy so it woudnt be as big of a problem

problem with girls skiing is that the suck for the most part... or are at least going to be worse than you, so to ski with them could limit the potential for dope skiing, which would get really frustrating.

i can't say i wont.. but.. it's just so perfect to be with someone who share the same passion as you.. (i mean skiing like freestyle skiing .. or snowboarding...not just having skis..) when i love someone i like to spend time with him... its just awesome to be a friend and have fun doing that thing you love with the one you love...  i think if im with someone who dont do that ill just get bored to soon....

well considering im 14 and am not thinking ahead to marraige i will say it is hard to date someone who doesnt understand the passion you have for the sport. my ex gf skied but only like once or twice a year and she would always complain that i was "picking skiing over her" lets just say she wasnt happy when i went to the loon mtn. jib academy [feb. 14th a.k.a. valentines day] instead of staying at home and going on a date with her. i couldnt take it and that is why she is now my EX

To be an honest I would rather have a wife who does not ski, or at least does it but hates it. This way i can always leave and go up skiing, and she won't be jealous or mad  because she hates it.

Nope. I've tried dating someone who doesn't shred many times and each time once winter rolls around the relationship ends. Not because they were jealous of my ski time but because I totally lose interest in them when I can ski. I want to be able to share what I love with the person I love. I can deal with a snowboarder but I really just want someone who can ski and help me teach the little ones how to ski. After the last break up I've implemented a strict shred-only policy.

Thats why I suggest living in Orange County (just got out this way.)  From Huntington I'm 5 mins from the beach and 1hr hour from the closest ski area.
