Alternatives to Skullcandy?

My cousin and I are starting a lawn mowing business, and I was wanting some good headphones for when I am mowing and shit. I have had some skullcandies, but I'm not too wild about the sound quality and durability. Does anybody know of some other headphones like the Skullcandy GI?

i dont think there are any cheaper alternatives because thats what skullcandy is.. what kind of durability issues do you think you will run into while mowing lawns?

if you have the moola then Bose makes some retardedly nice headphones... get a pair with active noise cancellation, be like you're in your living room with the stereo on while you're using a lawn mower

get some quality earbuds and run them into a headset that way you cut down on backround noise and have good sound quality....

That's what I'd do man.  You're mowing lawns so I don't think sounds quality is gonna be a primary concern unless you have noise canceling but that's kinda pricey.

Look at sennheisers, beyerdynamics, and sony MDRs

Stay away from Skullcandys, BOSE, and cheaper sonys (the 19.99 ones)

Fuck BOSE. Their sound quality/price ratio sucks.

Get Alessandro's, Grado's, Audio Technica's, Sennheiser's, Etymotic, etc. I recommend the Audio Technica AD700 or the Sennheiser HD555 or even 595, depending on your budget.

Yeah Like some have mentioned, Beats by Dre are the nicest sounding headphones I've ever heard.

They're like 300 bucks, but my god do they sound fucking amazing.

i use SK pros and love em' but its all good.

if your lookin for buds i had a pair of bose triports and they were sick.
i would never shell out the cash for them but i got them free in a golf tourny.

they got stolen from school so i replaced them with v-moda duo's.
pretty unheard of company but they were just at good as the triports and only about $100 in stores.
i got mine off ebay for about $60

if you gonna go with over the tops, save up, and buy sennheisers, or mirage if you can find them.

How many pairs of headphones have you listened to? Im not trying to hate im just saying. They are good headphones but not $300 good. $200 Ultrasones or Senns would do just as fine but most likely better.
Beats by Dre are made by Monster, known only for their EXTREMELY overpriced, mediocre wires so I would expect nothing less from their headphones.

If you want real sound quality, I would go with Shure. They are pricey though-Bang and Ollufsen build rediculous headphones- but they're 450 at the cheapest better start mowin hella lawns
