Binding/ ski problem

Okay until this season i have never ripped out a binding, but this season it has happened twice to the heel pieces.  I have some rossi power 120 (turntable) bindings and they were mounted to line 1260s.  I ride my din at a 9 (1 higher than if i were type three) so im not cranking it all the way.  Both times instead of releasing the heel ripped off the damn ski and i had to one leg it down the mountain after my ski (fun but embarassing lol).

What Im looking for is some opinions.  Do i need new bindings or just new screws?  Im ditching the 1260s for sure though (only paid $35 for em anyways)

It's most likely caused by the mounting or the ski - probably not an issue with the binding itself

I assume you mean the pivot heel power 120s, not full turntable?
The mounting pattern is isn't too close on those, so that shouldn't lead to a ripout

Has the same heelpiece ripped out twice or was it once on each ski? If it was the same ski both times, how did you remount the heel the second time?

If you just rescrewed into the same holes then i'm not surprised it pulled out - look into helicoils in that situation

ya i meant pivots not turntables.  it was each ski not the same one both times.  I heli-coiled the heel the first time it happened.

yeah, I got a heelpiece ripout heli coiled and 2 days later the heli coil ripped out when I did a 3 off a traverse going onto a run.

the skis arent the best construction IMO, they are old obviously along with the bindings.  they ripped out on small falls too.  first time i messed up on a small downrail and off it came, second time i landed flat on a 20 foot kicker.

ya im definately getting new skis, im just worried if the binding is still gonna hold up.  when i last tested the binding it still passed, but idk if i should ditch the power 120s or not.

Buy wood core skis next time and you won't have that problem. Your skis are foam core.
