WOW. HOly fucking wow. I saw them last night in Clifton park, NY at Northern Lights and it was one of the sickest shows I've ever been to. They played 2-3 newer songs and then they busted into the old school bob and the wailers stuff. Songs I can remember include...
Natty Dread, One Love, Soul Shakedown Party, Small Axe, Three Little Birds, No More Trouble>Want More, Them Belly Full, Who Da Cap Fit, Iron Zion Lion, I Shot The Sheriff, Jammin, Want More, No Woman No Cry and a few others...
For the encore they played Redemption Song>Get Up Stand Up>Exodus. It was fucking spectacular.
I went into the show expecting some semi-decent original Bob Marley and The Wailers songs. I figured it couldnt be nearly the same as seeing Bob live (something I have never seen in person). But when I was enveloped by the positive vibration of the Wailers last night, I was blown away. Their lead singer is fucking amazing, he embodied the true spirit of Bob Marley. I closed my eyes during the middle of the show and I couldn't tell the difference between The Legend Live DVD (obviously featuring Bob) and the show I was at, other than the fact that the show was much more intense because it was live. Did anybody else get the chance to check out this show?
