anyone here listen to some real good rap? its all my opinion obviously but people i like are Jadakiss, The LoX, D-Block, Royce Da 5'9", Crooked I, Tech N9ne, Bone thugs n harmony, Styles P, SLAUGHTERHOUSE, Young Blaze... just curious if anyone likes anyone ive mentioned, because i see alot of threads about Lil Wayne, and nothing about these artists /shake my head

Of Course! His most recent album is called Certified Air Raid Material and Is awesome!  Glitchy, high energy, awesome colabs (The Grouch) and a great feel throughout. 

From what i can tell, his older stuff is a little less refined, but I havent had a chance to cop it yet.  His LP is called Crying Over Pros for No Reason.

The first one should be easy to find, but Im not sure of the second.  Actually let me know if you find it please. Im at work so i cnat search right now...

I can see someone not liking JMT... Vinnie's flow is pretty weak and his voice can get a little old. But that being said the beats are generally amazing and Vinnie whips out some pretty nasty rhymes every so often, so I enjoy them from time to time.

^edIT doesn't rap...he does collaborations with people who do, though.

i don't think RZA has been mentioned yet, and he is easily in the top 50 english rappers, he has perfect flow, rhyme, lyrics. oh, and he can freestyle better than any english rapper i've heard of.

I guess you've never heard canibus freestyle then? ahah but its all a matter of opinion, which is why its hilarious to hear you guys saying stuff like "listen to [insert underground artist/group] if you want to hear real music". everyone has different preferences and ideas of what "real music" is. Personally I’m in the same boat as whoever said jedi mind tricks were overrated or something along those lines. They really don’t impress me at all. Neither does like 90% of the other stuff people on here frequently say is the best. It’s all pseudo-intelligent banter, reminiscent of a kevin smith movie. Just my opinion. But some good rap music to listen to would be Dr.Dre, DMX, crooked I, canibus, (old) Eminem, mobb deep, wu-tang clan, Raekwon, nas, redman, eric b and rakim, onyx, even some B-real. There’s more but I cant think of it now…
