helmets suck the big one

This is my opinion but I think helmets blow. You don't get the feel of the mountian as well as if you were wearing a touque. There is no risk in skiing, theres nothing better than almost hitting your head and falling into a tree-well, you just get pumped up and ready to go. Sure there is some good looking helmets but did Gee Lafure wear a helmate? NO. So if you are a hardcore wear a touque.

if you want to be a pussy and ski groomed shit runs all day, forget the helmet. You have to be a dumbass not to wear a helmet if you are hucking cliffs, or riding the park. If you are too cool to wear a helmet, you a jackass. maybe if you hit your head, it might knock a little sense into you. Helmets these days are as comfortable as a toque. I mean every other sport uses helmets (mountain biking, motocross, wakeboarding). if you are truly hardcore, then you need a helmet, but if you just want to dick around on little shit jumps and cordaroy, use a touque.

'there's not risk in skiing?' tell that to my best friend who's dad died after he hit his head on a rock, or a friend of mine who broke his neck, and would have died without the helmet. And both of them were really careful and really good skiers.

i usually dont rock it in the park, but i'm too old to start learning huge inverted tricks so i don't really need it, and i don't slide rails that are like 15 feet off the ground or anything. i do wear it when i am in the trees or near rocks because you never know when a stump is going to be hiding under an inch of snow, especially with copper's putrid base (well until this weekend at least)

Ohh wow, my friend just hit his head a week ago and had a cuncussion*sp from just falling going off a table. The doctor said that if he wasnt wearing a helmet he would have died instantly. WEAR A HELMET!!!!!! I actually want to kill anyone that doesnt wear a helmet!

its my opinions that that in mags and videos helmets look gay. Do pro skaters wear helmets or pads, no, and pavement hurts alot more than snow. If you want to wear a helmet and ski thats great, but why stop there? You could don some wrist gaurds under you gloves. Elbow and knee pads seem nice and safe. Oh, and the hot buns things that the ski patrollers wear would fell just great when your cute little bottom touches the cold lift. Why even ski the park, that could lead to some pain. SInce you like beign safe maybe you stay on the bunny hill. In addition, i have a helmet and i only wear it when im in places that its inforced. And im not a pro, so its ok if im a pussy

u sure u didnt already hit a tree without a helet dumb shit? no risk in skiing, first of all, no1 not even the pros are prefect skiers who never fall. also, have u forgot that there are other dumbshits like u on the hill, and kids to, yeah i know some 1 whos family member died cuz some little kid cut him off by accident and he hit a tree. but in ur case i think ur fucking skull is thick enough to protect u dumbass

helmets can mess your neck up but for the most part they help. last year someone at jay wasn't wearing a helmet and was going fast, they hit a tree and pretty much exploded their head. blew it right open. i wear one and will proabably always wear one. just get a light one, its amazing what technology we have these days, that is if they bug you.

You said almost hitting your head, ahve you ever smoked a tree or smacked you head on ice before? Either you have and it damaged you brain causing you to make this thread, or you are just reall dumb. No riks in skiing? Thats bullshit and you know it, theres a lot more risk skiing than half the other stuff you could be doing. Get back to me on this one when you crack your head open on something we'll see if there is any risk in skiing or not.

i used to think that wearing helmets were gay until this wednesday. i overshot on a 3 but since i didnt have my helmet strapped becasue it isnt "cool" it flew off and i got a concussion. now im out for a little while so it has the time to properly heal. fuck not wearing a helmet

Fuck you telling people this. My friend under rotated a back flip and hit his head so hard he shattered his goggles. Fight for life back to denver and when we got to the hospital and the doctor told us that he would have walked away from it if he wore a helmet and we were like he was wearing a helmet then the doctor told us good or he would have died. WEAR A FUCKING HELMET UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE A BRAIN DEAD FAG LIKE THE KID WHO CREATED THIS THREAD.

as a matter of fact a helmet saved my life TODAY, about 5 hours ago. I was sessioning an urban rail, fell on the stairs and hit my head on one of the support beams. ive got a bit of a concussion but im sutre if i werent wearing my lid it wouldve split my skull. buckle up.
