Hey Guys,

So i have an injured knee right now that i hurt at Breck the other day and wanted to rest it for slope tomorrow. To qualify for the next stop you need to get points so i needed to just drop in so i can still compete at the last stop in pipe. So i did one little hit and skied down the middle. Hence the '1.00' haha.

Slope is on tomorrow and its going to go down! The course is sick! Be sure to tune in!

what a fucking baby.  he has a sore knee so he just quits.  really is your knee gonna be THAT much better if you rest it one day, and if it is, then it really is not hurt bad.  jesus, most of us have gone out on the hill to shred a little banged up , and some have gone out with legit injuries, and we are just doing it cause we love it.  your a fucking pro and you can't push through the pain. 


oh and for your excuse "i could reinjure it" fuck that you could reinjure it just as likely warming up for slopestyle.  come on dude grow a pair and do your job.  you are an entertainer and people and corporations paid money to see you perform, and you decide not to because of some soreness.  this is where i lose respect for some "extreme athletes".  they don't have a team and so they feel no responsibility to anyone but themselves, which is fine during the season, but he had a responisbility to show up and theow down at a competition.  sounds to me like he just didn't feel 100% and so decided to say fuck it.

if your candy ass needs and example, look a Mr. Walnuts.  he comes back early off an already fragile twice broken collarbone and proceeds to throw down as best he could in the pipe which is not something he is accostomed to doing.  he wasn't 100%.  he proply could have benifited from resting a litle more, but he is a competitor and loves the sport.


Spark Notes:  Jossi, stop being a fucking baby, grow a pair and compete.  all im asking is for your best effort, not excuses.

because i as a consumer in this sport that directly pays his income want to see him compete.  does he not feel he owes his fans, and fans of the sport that give him his lifestyle,  anything? 

i have lost a TON of respect for him

I don't even like jossi wells, but you're a fucking idiot. You're logic couldn't be more wrong, and you sound like every other douche who thinks this is a corporate sport. This isn't the fucking MLB or NFL or NBA. You don't pay for ANYTHING of his you idiot. You bought gear. Just like everyone else. Cool story. None of these riders have contracts, or any reason to compete if their injured. He doesn't owe you or anyone anything. You're the type of person thats ruining our sport.

how exactly is my logic wrong?  and how am i ruining this sport?  oh and he does owe Atomic something.  he represents them, and as such should put out a good image.  and this sport is run by corporations: K2, Rossi, Atomic, Oakley.

First off, I kinda see where you're coming from. But then again, Jossi can pretty much do what he wants, not what you or any spectator wants, its his decision.

If he wants to qualify for the next round in pipe and also rest his knee so he can slay harder the next day in slope he can and that is what he did. Sure you may have gone out one day a bit injured and put yourself at the extra risk of re-injuring whatever you hurt but In Jossi's case an injury such as the one he is carrying may ruin his pipe run AND put him out of competing in slope the next day.

If I were in his case I would have done the same, why jeopardize two comps (slope/pipe) when he can scrape through in pipe and then have a decent go at slope rather than  putting together a 90% or less run and risk not even competing in slope.

dude you need to get a clue, you dont shit about jossi's injury/past injury to his knee, you dont know shit full stop. if jossi isnt up to competing in pipe aswell because he's not comfortable with his knee is his fucking choice, the dudes 18 and doesnt need to risk a long future in the sport because of an ongoing fucked knee to impress a complete douchebad like yourself.

yeah because you've never called in sick before, or taken a day off from anything because you were sore...

Jossi is paid because he's talented and works hard at improving his skiing. Do you think Atomic cares if he doesn't compete in Pipe? He podiumed in Breck, he podiumed at X last year, he's all over Jon's blog. I think they could care less if he wants to focus his energy on one event.

Amateur and pro athletes do this all the time, divers will pull out of 3m springboard so they can focus on 10m platform. Distance runners will pull out of the marathon if they feel they need to gather themselves for the 10,000m.

What gives you the right to call him out? really?
