whats all your favourite flat land butter or press variations. i personally like riding fakie then doing a 180 tail butter and seeing how long i can hold it, usually til like a little drop then i 180 out. Also 180 nose butters into fakie while going really fast. i also like just doing tail butters off rollers and seeing how much i can spin for fun. im not really into doing them onto rails yet, jsut flatland..... what do you guys do? anything interesting, or do you even do butters and stuff...

For butters:

Step 1: Buy Troublemakers.

Step 2: Mount bindings on said Troublemakers.

Step 3: Find yourself a dinner roll (not of the Jonny Moseley variety).

Step 4: Apply butter generously.

(Note: Margarine will NOT work in this situation.)

nose butter to tail butter 360 out.. sometimes to revert when i feel like it.. butter on to rails.. butter to 270 to unnatural, nose butter to switch on.. workin on unnatural butters

when i butter crap it always gives me shin splints the next day if i try butturing on the tail of the ski and i lean back far, it feels the same as nailing a backseat landing and kills my shins, any suggestions

your skis are probably too stiff to do good butters, but try on steeper pitches.....

i also like riding switch, then buttering and see how long i can hold it, then 180ing out
i can hold em for pretty long, it took awhile for me to get the hang of them

agreeed. i took my TMs out last weekend, and those fuckers are so crazy for butters. they hold a flex Sooo well. i call ride manuals, and then pop out into a ollie. and tail/nose butters are very nice too. havent hit any rails yet, but i imagine ill be able to do crazy presses.

its when you press or apply alot of pressure on your nose or tail you your skis, similar to maunuals a skate, and usally butters are done with spins on the gorund before a rail or jump....

going regular in the inrunof a jump at mach 3 then nose butter 180 to tasil butter totailpress then rodeo 5 of the jump and then a tail butter.

got one on film but the stupid camerasman filmed only from the lip to the landintg, so it looks like a backseat takeoff rodeo 5 to tail press revert shit..

actually I have seen most of the movies and I have yet to see a 'real' butter, ced has the idea though, that would be a real butter and damn hard to do.

I've got pocket rockets (you could've guessed), and since they have a pretty soft flex, I want to try some butters, but I have no idea how. If someone could put up a how-to, I would give you a really big, sloppy hug.

under_achieved, if those 'fake' butters that you are referring to are the only actual butters done on skis, wouldn't that mean that those are REAL butters? uhhhh.......yes. just because we can't do the exact same tricks as snowboarders doesn't mean we can't make variations of their tricks
