Looks sweet, not fully rockered which is what I'm looking for.
Anyone have them that can tell me about them
I rode the guns a few times last year which was pretty sick.
So anyone that has them could you tell me bout em
Quite floaty in pow
More stable in crud than the Guns
Weird on groomers because of the big turn radius and so much of the nose of the ski being in the air while the whole tail is on the ground.
I liked Guns, Hellbents, and many other skis more. However, they were the first fat ski I ever tried and 10cm too long for me anyway, so I probably didn't give them a fair chance. I do want to try them again this year.
ok so i was thinking about these and i realized the rocker only in the front could be pretty cool if you did this-
could you measure the running length of the ski (without the rocker), and mount them in the dead center of the running length? cause that would make them really playful and light feeling on groomers, and then the rocker would come into play when you hit soft snow, so they would ski more like a normally mounted ski in deep powder.
Well I think they will rock center mounted in deep pow they are I will still have a lot of tail so the rockered tip will always be in effect. since the tails arn't rockered it could be really fun landing in switch will burry my tips and pop up my tail so landing will be pretty fun. and since theyre tail isn't rockered skiing on groomers won't be so bad. and I can't really find a ski sutible for me without being fully rockered and with a good lenght my ideal size is 174, which they have
the hell bents are so cambered its pretty much your decision to get the insainly cambered skis or the cambered tips.
Its all about personal choice at that decision. I'm getting the czars to see what I should go for next year, I want to know if i should fully comit to the full rockered
Got the czar in an 82. Super floaty in pow, real easy to throw around, wood core is pretty snappy. The tail is decently stiff to land big drops. have way better back bone than the gun, which in my opinion is a piece of shit. handles the chop well. Will rip huge GS turns on groomers, which is perfectly fine by me.
