so my knee is a lil tweaked, to be more specific right under the kneecap, now its not unde the kneecap like the joint, its the tendon/muscle/ligament (not sure exactly what it is) that runs up the leg paralel to the shin, basically what the problem is that after like running up stairs, hard landings skiing, or just having it immobile for long periods of time it stiffens up and i feel pressure, it dosent really hurt it is just annoying, it goes away if i walk it off for a couple of minutes, i dont feel it while im skiing just like after or if i stop for a few minutes. It started 4 days ago when i woke up, and then it went away during the day, then it came back after skiing, its a lil better now cause i dont feel it when i wake up or as often, but when it comes back its worse as in more stiff/pressure

so is this something i should be concered or go in about, i leave for PC in 5 days and im just wondering if this will work itself out by then

dude i know exactly what youre sayin. i blew out both my knees playing hockey so i feel your pain. sounds like you should get it checked, it might just be a light sprain, or could be worse. I would try ice and heat, switching off every half hour or so, for the next day or two, and take it easy for like 2 days. if it doesnt feel better get it checked, but it sounds like you just gotta rest it and take care of it. try heading to cvs or walgreens or whatever and get an ace bandage and wrap it to keep it solid.

yo had the exact same problem a couple weeks ago and made a thread...there are some valuable responses so just check out my thread. You shouldn't need to see a doctor, I suggest RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) I took it easy for a couple days and the soreness completely went away.

sounds like shin splints but i didnt read all ur thread jsut google and find some home remedies cause i dont think doctors can do anything...

yeah ive had sort of a similar thing both my knees are fine until i walk up stairs they get a bit sore or if i go from fully bent to straight standing up but once i walk around they feel fine, the major problem is as soon as i put on my ski boots the position makes them really sore so ive been giving them a break for about a week and half since i have exams anyways hopefully theyll be good for my trip to NH next week
