Fuck lift tickets, walk up?

I live closest to the MD,PA area mountains and I want to ski really badly.I had the idea to walk up the mountain  instead of paying for alift ticket and just get to the terrain park where there is a j lift where they dont check for tickets. What would happen if they caught me doing this and how many other people would do this. I did it once before and didn't get caught but I'm not sure I can do this all the time. Is it true that the mountains are lease by the state and the skiresort only has the right to build on it? Lemme know thanks.

But don't you buy lift tickets to pay for the mountains insurance, sign a thing saying you can't sue them if you get hurt and all that?

You ever hear of sarcasm. You see, what I did was state the obvious to someone in such a way as to over simplify it for them because their previous satement sounded ignorant to me. Better watch out or I'll do it to you as well. Oh, I think I just did ; ).

Yes that is true. I am real big on personal responibility, and if I got hurt doing something and it was my own stupid fault I would not be sueing someone else for it. Example: I broke seven bones and bruised a lung after patrol had put up this new boundary line post (I ran into it, not going into detail). What used to be there was a piece of bamboo holding up the line. The day after the accident the area removed the post because they agreed that it was in a poor location. Removing the post was claiming reponsibility in a sense. I was told by a lawyer that I had a hell of a lawsuite, in my favor, against the area. I said he was out his mind, and that I was going way to fast when I lost control and ran into the post. We shouldn't need to be signing release forms, it should just be understood. So i guess what I'm trying to say is you shouldn't go hiking up a mountain at night unless you are prepared to reposibility for yourself.

i had a friend who hiked in to the local ski area once and when they caught him they held him in the mangers office, called in the cops, hit him with trespassing and theft of services, which came out to a $300 fine, then they made him pay for a full price lift ticket at $54 dollars, and the cops took him away to the station for a little while. if that sounds like fun, then by all means, go hike, but don't dare complain about any feature not being up to par, or the snow conditions being bad, because since you didn't pay to ski, you damn well have no right to complain about it.
