My boots

i just went skiing for the first time today and my boots hurt like hell
i wear a 10 street shoe but my boots are 26.5 (8.5) and my feet fall asleep
my toes hurt like hell and there painful all around.

I have not had them heat molded yet and i was not wearing my ski sock

they seemed to get a little better each run though.

my question is, are boots supposed to hurt that bad the first day in them?

Well.....if your toes go numb and your boots are significantly smaller than your street shoes AND they're uncomfortable.....MAYBE they're too small for you??

Did you get them fitted properly when you bought them?

how long did you wear them for when you got fitted? you should really wear them for an hour to make sure they will work out. and remember that in the cold they will tighten up

i sort of had them fitted. my boot guy said i shuold ski in them a day before i mold them so im going to go see if that helps

but i had 27.5s before that and once they packed out my feet were just swimming in them

Well ski socks make a big difference. I wear ultra light smartwool ski socks, and it's amazing the difference they make. I can't even get my boots on unless I have them on.
