WTF i just blacked out

ok im kinda scared right now i was just on the computer and was kinda bored so i decided to go shoot some hoops outside, despite the snow. i got up and was heading to my front door and i felt light headed, i figured it was just a head rush so i kinda rested up against the wall and waited for it to pass then the next thing i no is i hear a loud bang and my mom saying "what was that noise" and i was like " uh, im not sure' then i opened my eyes and found my self lyeing on the ground in the hallway realizing the noise was me falling down.

im kinda freaking out now because this has never happened to me before and its kinda fucked. is this a bad sign or something.........AM I GOING TO DIE?!?!?!

jk about the dieing thing, but seriously im kinda scared right now.

jk, but i really hope its not diabetis or some bad shit. and getting a cat scan would probably take a year because due to "free health care" ( up here in canada) and the low amount of cat scan machines there are LONG waiting lists. like really long.

I passed out at a chorus concert in eighth grade in front of two or three hundred people. That was embarassing, though i'm guessing you passed out for en entirely different reason.

This can happen to anyone. I was born with heart problems so I get check ups every year and I asked my doctor why I get so lightheaded sometimes and he said it was "Tall and skinny syndrome". It's not anything you need to worry about. Your blood sugar was probably just low. If it happens more frequently and you notice a pattern then have it checked.

You might be hypoglycemic like me. I pass out all the time. Your body doesnt have enough sugar in it so the brain shuts off (brain is fed by sugar)

this happens to my friend every now and then, its weird. he got it checked out, and if he exherts himself in like certain positions and flexs certain muscles or something it causes his body to black out. its really weird, i dont understand it, but maybe thats the case you have

Dude, same thing happened to me, except it was a bit more extreme, like i was out for 6-7 seconds... and i sat down when i was feeling dizzy and was sitting for probably 7-8 seconds before i passed out...

don't worry about it.  it happened to me in october and I've felt fine ever since... I think I was just super dehydrated and i hadn't had enough to eat either.  I got up at like 4am (pacific), flew from vancouver to toronto, and passed out at about 1am (eastern)... and all i had to eat was one meal in toronto (about 9 hours before i passed out) and i didn't drink any water that day, instead i had a coke with dinner and 4 pints while i was watching a hockey game at a bar.

for those who are gonna say that i passd out because of the 4 pints and i must be a huge lightweight, last week i went to the bar and had 17 or 18 drinks and walked home and went to bed without puking or passing out or anything, so it definitely wasn't that.



here's another thought... maybe we should both be worried lol.

The exact same thing has happend to me befor. Everytime it has happened ive been sick tho so drink oj, water, and eat some soup your prolly coming down with something

thats the weird thing though. i ate the same stuff today that i do everyday ( give or take minor things) and i have enough sugar i think. like i have 3 oranges a day and maybe a couple other sugary things.

mad_540_trix - yea same here i was leaning against the for like 6 seconds before i blacked out.

I almost blacked out at work today...Got hit by the fumes of a potent chemical reaction I was running and felt high as shit for like 2 seconds and then was on the verge of passing out haha. Sat down and it went away in like 5 mins, pretty scary shit though.

i sometimes come close to blacking out when i get out of bed or out of a hot tub after being in it for a long time. ive come really close to blacking out from blazing on an empty stomach as well. i think it has something to do with low blood sugar or dehydration, so just stay well fed and hydrated, and it if happens more often i would go see a doctor.

haha the same thing kind of happened to me a couple of summers ago..

i was chillin on the couch for like 3 hrs playing socom 3 and i got up to piss and when i got to the bathroom i felt really light headed and so i started pissing and i blacked out mid piss and hit my head against the wall behind the toilet. it was weird cuz it started out just light headed but then got so much worse in like 3 seconds!

i had the same thing happen, after skiing all day went home and hopped in my buddies hot tub for like an hour then went to go in the sauna and same shit happened, i think when your dehydrated it happens hasnt happened since and that was like 3 years ago

you probly just have low blood pressure like me. it just takes ur blood longer to get to your head and this time it took too long. its nothing to worry about.
