After reading the other thread, and watching that video. It looks like the spring is probably shot. It just looks like the bindings can't hold on. When you're lifting up on your heal, are those little arms that you adjusted the forward pressure on extending really easily?

if you really are a noob in regards to binders like you say you are, just take it down to your local shop and have them put a new spring in it.
thats what i think the problem is too.

The binding may be broken but you definitely don't have enough forward pressure.

Its most likely caused by your low din setting(at 7???) and lack of forward pressure.
This is why you DONT get fks 155 or 185 and set your din at 7. The spring prolly isnt engaged fully.
If you ride a din 7 you should have gotten a p12 or something. Its best to use a binding where your din is set in the middle of the din meter.

I could understand if we were talking a kids binding sitting at a din of 1.5 - that boot comes out way too easily for it to be a DIN issue, plus he already made sure the forward pressure was correct

you should be fine at a din of 7. it shouldnt do that as long as its in the din range. there might be a slightly larger margin of error that low, but it still shouldnt be that easy to pop out

no way, even at the lowest possible din on most adult bindings you shouldn't be able to pop out just by pulling your heel up, especially fks with the lowest din of 6, that's supposed to hold you tight
the binding is fucked, get a refund

Its hard to say since none of us are there to look at it...
but...
I do know for a fact that I could pop off of a fks 7 din, standing with one ski on no problem. Now, im not going to say this binding is 100% perfect but based on what ive seen with fks at low din you can rock them of like that.
If anything since they are used bindings the springs may be less powerful then they used to be. So that din reading of 7 may actually be closer to a din 5.
FKSs have a super simple design there is not much that can go wrong.

a pair of 155's are fine at 7, something is wrong with your bindings too.

Din 7 is like nothing and if you dont have tight forward pressure with FKS its wicked easy to kick them off at that level....


Someone mentioned some useful information about the meter for the forward pressure could be off in the other thread if anyone didnt see that.

if forward pressure is set correctly you definitely shouldn't be able to shake a boot off an FKS155 heel set at 7.

Din isn't the issue if the forward pressure is on point.The 2 are unrelated.

i ride with my din at 8 on some px 12s (not the same binding but shouldnt matter) i cant come even close to kicking them off that easily. 7 isnt nothing. sure he might not be one of the morons cranking their din to 57 when they dont need to, it still shouldnt be that easy.

and if the forward presure is off then could kick them off at 18.
kids on here jack their din so much it is insane, no wonder there are so many injuries a year, we had a young kid who was not a pound over 140 come into the shop yesterday to get his skis tuned and he had his STH 16s set at 15, because he 'needed' it. 

Also if you look at how little effort it is taking for him to pop out you could tell it is not at a true 7.

I agree you cant "skake" off fks din7 if its set up right
you can however pop/kick it off by pushing down on your nose and lifting up on your heels. Similar to what this kid was doing in the video.
I do it everytime I get my skis back from the shop and its set at 7. Then I turn them up to 10 and go ski.
Im done, this is getting dumb.

I can't believe what some of you clowns in this thread are saying. I dont know a whole lot about bindings but the fact that these are used means the spring will be weaker than when they are new, how much weaker cannot be known without inspecting them. The fact that the lowest setting on them is 6 and they are set on 7 means that the spring has hardly any tension on it. I say turn the din up to somewhere in the middle of the setting and try again if it still doesnt work right your bindings are probably shot but dont give up without taking them into a shop for further inspection from someone who might actually know whats up.

You're god damn forward pressure is way off, there is like almost an inch gap between the boot and the binding, take it to the shop and have them adjust the forward pressure, if that doesn't work looks like you're fucked.

f you want to experiment with the forward pressure yourself (i wouldnt recommend setting it without having a shop check it, but just to see if it helps your problem), take a large phillips head screwdriver and tighten each of the the "arms" equally. Tighten where circled:

If you look at the video, you can see the white tab in the correct place, so the forward pressure is fine.

well my bro took it to the stratton shop on wednesday and it turned out it was just cause the din was so low on such a high din binder. thanks for all the help guys!

i can actually confirm this...my race skis had a pair of fks last year a and i could pop them off just leaning way forward. i double ejected out of the starting gate my last race haha. they were at 7 or 8
