The obSethed powder at heart ski. With a 105 waist and 138, 125 at the tips the ski will perform in the powder on both sizes. However from you description you gave us, you like all mountain skiing as well as some park. The obSethed will perform well as a all mountain ski, but im not sure in the park. You wont be able to stomp big tricks or nasty grinds due to its sheer size and mass, not to mention to swing weight that comes with the ski. But it'll be a sweet jib ski outside the park. Here's My recommendation.
179- Perfrom great in pow pow, excellent all mountain, a good jib ski in the park. Mount at anywhere from core centre to +2
189- Better than the 179 in pow, but will lack in other areas, especially park due to length. Better investment overall if you ski pow pow, and more pow. also if you have a multiple ski quiver that includes a park ski. Mount at +2-3 for pow only ski or what i said above if its more all mountain.
Hope this helps, and i need the karma , so hit me up.
thanks for the input, especially from a K2 rep. I personally made those suggestion soley off of the information provided on your site about the obSethed and from owning K2. Ive also never owned a fat ski or obSethed specifically. However i guess your right on the park performance. because any ski can perform in the park.
My thoughts were that the obSethed could stomp some tricks if you work with it. but i dont think it would be a ski for throwin switch 10's and 430 on/off pretzels. But you can quote me if im wrong.
Schmies, i also have a question i believed i asked you before. ill pm you
