What do you guys think about it? I have to write a 3 page essay on Jacksonian Democracy by tomorrow and I don't have time to research it. I found this site that has a full essay on my topic. Should I use it and change around a few words and phrases? Is it worth potentially getting caught? I need some quick feedback

What is everyone's opinion on it? My friend has a 4 page essay on Jeffersonion Democracy due in two days and doesn't have enough time to look up all the facts. There's a website that has a whole paper he could copy. Should he copy/paste it and rearrange/rephrase some of the words? Is there a good chance he'll get caught? He needs to get some responses pronto.

I can't fucking beleive all of you- plaigerism is not only wrong, it's a crime. More than likely, the person who wrote the original piece spent a fair share of time editing it and making sure that it was good- and all you can talk about is making sure to 'rearrange some words or sentences' to make it seem like your own? Fuck that- I hope you all get what's coming to you. The local sports editor here in Bozeman just got fired and is being charged becuase he plaigarized an article from another newspaper. And even if it is in high school, it's not worth it...you can still get in deep shit for it. Don't do it, period.

^plagiarizing newspaper articles? now that's fucked up. plagiarizing a HS paper when the topic is probably pointless and you're probably not going to remember a single word you wrote a year from now anyway? whatever. i plagiarized more than one paper and also did some far more illegal stuff during high school hours and now i'm only a semester away from graduating college

plagiarism is not that bad. well in high school. i wouldnt dare do it now that im in college. and you learn which teachers you can get away with plagiarizing to in high school anyway. its an easy A or B. and most of those sites with essays, the students put their own work on there anyway, they know other people are going to use their work.

there is a difference between plagiarizing everything and only doing it a couple of times. if you do it all the time then you obviously will never learn a thing, but only a couple of times...thats no biggie.

for those of you who dont know teachers have a very easy way of picking up on plagarism. there is a program that all you have to type in is a phrase, not even a whole sentence and it will match it up with thousands of documents, that are out there. Plagarism is a bad idea if you do it now you will never learn how to properly write. Dont ever even think about doing it in college you will get caught and you will be thrown out of the university. in high school they can fail you in the class. its just an all around bad idea.

yeah i wait till the last second every essay and i dont know jack shit on the topic im writing it on, i just browse the topic in my book for about 15-20 mins and then write the essay, using lots of quotes i get it done in an hour or so and its a good length, i also dont plaguerise because im in an AP class and thats basically college, i get B's on most of the essays so im set

I don't plagiarize for English because writing's my main academic interest, so I want to get as much practice in it as I can, but in Chemistry and Math I have no problem copying others' work since I have no interest in either for my future.
