A very wet weekend ahead of us.
Our forecaster said it wouldn't surprise him if we get 2" of rain before turning to snow Sunday AM. Then 1-3" snow Sunday, 2-4" snow Mon and 1-3" snow Tues. Snowmaking may not be possible due to 100% humidity until Tues or Wed but by then the bottom is supposed to fall out of the temps and the humidity drop. We could be looking at max production come Wed if his models run true.
Sorry, but until we get through a solid night of snowmaking we won't be setting an opening date. But on a positive note. Based on our first experience with the new system making snow for JPI4, we know that one maxed out night will get us open like never before and last us until we get into a solid pattern. Those three nights of snowmaking(running at only 33%!) now nearly three weeks ago was almost triple the snow we have opened with in the past and about 2/3 of that lasted the two weeks until JPI. Now that the power company has us sorted out we are ready to let the system crank 100%.
